Coming from ps4 to x1 and very disappointed so far!

Traded in my ps4 for the x1. Here are my 2 issues so far. I bought the sunset overdrive white bundle which came with a 14 day trial to xbox live. The code was applied and I still cannot play sunset overdrive online or killer instinct, I also went to commerce.microsoft.com
to check if the trial was added to my account and it shows no activity since I last used my 360 a year ago, yet if I try to put my code in again it says it's already been used.

Issue number 2... just picked up forza horizon 2... the download is taking FOREVER, so I read into how to speed this up by disconnecting to xbox live.... if I disconnect xbox live, it stops the download! Your telling me no one can play games unless they
connect to the Internet for the install!? [Mod removed] is up with that.

Starting to wish I kept the ps4.

Very disappointed so far!!

Agree with the others - the installs shouldn't take that long. I think most of my games have installed to a point where they are usable within 30 minutes or so.

What kind of internet connections do you all have? I have installed quite a few games and never had to wait more than 30 minutes to install and longest install was Battlefield 4. Even then, I could still play single player while the rest of it was installing.
I have read the complaints about long installations, but have never experienced them personally. I won't say they don't exist, but am still curious about the factors involved.

if your downloading forza from the online store then disconnecting from live will stop the download, forza is a big game, what speed is your internet.

While I'm not a big fan of telling people how to spend their own hard-earned money, I will point out that with Thanksgiving/Christmas right around the corner, odds are you're going to find some really good deals on Live Gold subscriptions in stores.

If you're downloading from the disc and trying to disconnect from the internet, if you accept the online update first, I found that you cannot use the disconnect trick. You must first deny the online update and then disconnect or make sure to disconnect
before even putting the game in there.

A lot of the time, trials and subscriptions don't sync straight away and deleting the profile and downloading can sometimes rectify, but it is weird that it's not showing on your commerce page. If re-downloading the profile doesn't work, I'd be contacting
phone support about it.

I had a birthday party yesterday for my boy - 9 eleven-year-olds. He wanted to have an Xbox party (360's in two rooms and a One in the living room). Here's what I overheard...

"Ooooh, you've got an Xbox One?"

"Yeah, it sucks. Let's play Minecraft."

It seems that my frustrations have rubbed off on him. He's witnessed first hand how many glitches and errors this thing puts out. I bought him Just Dance 2014 for his birthday. The install itself only took maybe 10 minutes. The problem is that it stayed
at 0% for a very long time before the install started. It wasn't until the next day that install was finally 100%...though luckily it can still be played at 98%. Needless to say, I had a room full of sweaty, happy kids once they gave it a shot. FYI, six
people can play JD2014 at one time. This is perfect for parties.

I am remaining optimistic at least. I remember just how much the 360 dash has evolved since launch. I am hopeful that these problems will eventually be worked out. Until then, my living room 360 will still be for apps (such as Youtube), rather than the
One.
