Comedy Central App No Longer Supported by Comcast Xfinity?

Either I have had no problem in the past logging into my XBox One CC app with my Comcast Xfinity login, or it's a new feature of the CC app to ask for a log in for some full episodes. Anyone know the answer to this?

I've definitely watched episodes of Broad City on my CC app in the past. In fact, I jut watched episode 1 of season 2. Went to watch episode 2 of season 2 and was asked to login in order to view. I tried but Comcast Xfinity isn't an option.

Did as something change in the last 30 minutes?

Some channels (HD) not showing up in guide

I'm a comcast subscriber. All of my SD channels show up in the Xbox Guide, however, about 1/3 of the HD channels do not. In order to watch said channels, I can use the Comcast remote and manually change to channel, but if I try to using the guide, some channels
simply don't show up.

For instance: Comedy Central. Comedy Central in SD shows up in the XBO guide just fine. The Comedy Central HD channel, however, does NOT show up in the XBO guide.

So in order to watch Comedy Central in HD, I have to use the Comcast remote and change to it. It just doesn't show up in the XBO guide at al.

Didn't you hear? Comedy Central recently release an application for the Xbox One. Isn't that great? I sure think so.

So I'm going to watch some comedy central via the new app to be greeted by an authentication screen which low and behold, Comcast is absent from. This issue is recurring and is not exclusive to Microsoft. Roku users have long struggled with the continued
denial of access to HBO GO while all other platforms enjoy authentication.

Everybody is remaining mum on who is to blame and I'd like some clarification as to who is blocking access in the first place and whether it's even legal. ATT used to do this until it was outlawed. I don't have the resources to engage Comcast in a legal
battle but Viacom and Microsoft do. If gag orders are a non-issue, I think we deserve to know what's going on about this issue.

 

I'm having the same problem with the CC app and it being supported by Xfinity. It works just fine on the iPad. It even gives the option to sign in to Xfinity.

App availability will be up to your network provider. I recommend reaching out to Comcast if you're still unable to select them as a provider. This will also give them feedback that you would like to access content using their internet service.
