Comcast Xfinity XB3 Cisco DCP3939 Cannot Connect to Xbox Live on Xbox One

I have been trying to connect my Xbox One to Xbox live for 2 days now.

Moved into a new house and had Comcast come out and install modem

Hooked up my xbox one and cannot get connected

I have Comcast Xfinity front of modem says XB3

Model is Cisco DCP3939

i have my xbox one plugged directly into port 1 of the modem ethernet section via supplied ethernet cable

any suggestions are appreciated

when i go to network screen i get

Nat type Strict

Service Info Unavaliable

when i run test network connection it says DNS isnt resolving server names

i have logged into my modem and port forwarded

88 UDP

3074 Both

53 Both

80 TCP

500 UDP

3544 UDP

4500 UDP

saved settings

hard reset xbox

hard reset modem

unplugged modem

unplugged xbox

tryed disabling port forward and using DMZ to no avail

running out of my options need real help

No, they were separate. Cisco DPC3939 XB3 is the Xfinity router. I just did a factory reset on my Xbox One, also reset my routers to factory settings. Put the Xbox One ports back in, now installing my games and will see if that did anything.

Same problem here, cant connect to xbox live, i have comcast/xfinity internet

 

As this sounds like you're having an issue with the dns name resolution you may try to setup a manually configured dns server on your Xbox One.

To do this please go to settings / network / advanced settings / dns settings. Choose configure manually there and enter 8.8.8.8 for the first dns server and 8.8.4.4 for the secondary dns server there.

Also I'd recommend to have the One setup in the DMZ as you already tried although your current problem is not a portforwarding problem.

 

I am having the same problem. Did you ever find a fix?

I have had a Comcast tech out here and even they can't figure it out.

Take it to any other friends house or work and it instantly connects.

What's the deal?
