Discus and support Comcast Scientific Atlanta 4250HDC Issue in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I have a Scientific Atlanta 4250HDC setup top box with Comcast.     Comcast Scientific Atlanta 4250HDC Issue


    I have a Scientific Atlanta 4250HDC setup top box with Comcast. I connected it and watched TV with my XBOX ONE for a day and a half without a problem. This afternoon the picture on every channel froze, then reset the display mode from Native to Zoom, would
    play for a second or so then repeat the freeze change mode routine again, over and over and over.

    I checked the HDMI cable, reset the XBOX and Set top box, still had the problem. I connected the Set top directly to the TV as it was before I got the XBOX ONE, now everything works right.

    Why won't this Set top box work with my XBOX ONE?

    It happens to me to. Microsoft needs to make an update to fix this. I have comcast with a scientific Atlanta explorer 8300 HDC box

    Sorry to hear about the issue, Fuedal. It is possible inputs/outputs are not matched, or an HDMI cable issue. It sounds like you have gone down the correct testing path, but more info is necessary:

    1. TV provider

    2. Layout (Set Top box (STB) aka Cable box hdmi Xbox One hdmi TV),

    3. Make/Model of STB, AVR (Receiver) if used.

    Hello,

    Thank You for the quick reply:

    The TV is a Sony Bravia - KDL - 40EX710

    The STB is a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 4250HDC

    The setup is STB -> HDMI Cable -> XBOX ONE -> HDMI Cable -> Sony Bravia

    Wait, this is an intermittent issue, where it locks up now and then (2x or so a day), but otherwise plays fine?

    I'm not sure how to answer that question, the TV supports 1080i.

    This is not intermittent, it happens all the time on every channel.

    Ok, so it never works: got it. Try a different aspect ratio. Also try different RGB scaling. Another... would be... use the HDMI cable that came with the Xbox between the Xbox and cable box.
