Comcast RNG110 box will not recognize any XB1 transmissions. Using IR blaster

Hello all,

I've searched through tons of forums including this one and tried all sorts of remote codes and model numbers, but nothing is working. When the XB1 says it autodetected the cable box, nothing happens. When I enter "comcast" as my brand and "rng110" as my
model, still nothing. When I do the assisted setup with comcast as my brand, none of the options work either.

I have a comcast box with the model code "RNG110" on the front, it is one of the smaller, less beefy comcast boxes. I have this ir blaster: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005BJFDL6?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
and I can confirm it works because it sends signal to my receiver just fine.

My cable box hdmi is running straight to my XB1 and that is run straight to my tv.

I would really like not to return my xbox and would love a solution, thanks!

Tv app audio stopped working, internets don't fail me now

Max extreme thanks for the response Are you saying you changed your device Id for the cable box to that or is that an ir blaster code. My xbox doesn't have any problems communicating with the cable box other then the audio. I can say "xbox watch espn"
and it changes the cable box channel to espn. The comcast box I'm using is an rng110.

XBox One not changing channels on Comcast Box

PSUGRAD: I entered in RNG 110 as it suggested, adn I called Comcast to make sure that it was right. ANd I had the settings all set to on.

Studbucket33: The STB is a Xfinity Branded Pace RNG110. I do see the 3 lights, but when I used my camera, I dont see the 4th IR blaster light.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this issue.

Is there anything else in line to your xbox?

By that I mean what is the entire set-up from wall plug to xbox?

For example my cable box has a coaxial cable from the wall to the cable box, then the HDMI to my TV.

Is that how yours is, or is there anything else in the path?

The XB1 controls your cable box, TV & stereo with an IR blaster, the same way your remote does. So you can control you cable box with any combination of your voice, game pad, the devices remote control and I believe your tablet / phone with the XB1 app.

I think this will fix most of your problem. I was having the same issue with my Xfinity XG1-A cable box. The Xbox Kinect has IR blasters that emits the IR codes. Try placing the Kinect in front or near your cable box and try to send a command via voice
or Xbox oneguide.
