Comcast interference on accessing subscribal services

Didn't you hear? Comedy Central recently release an application for the Xbox One. Isn't that great? I sure think so.

So I'm going to watch some comedy central via the new app to be greeted by an authentication screen which low and behold, Comcast is absent from. This issue is recurring and is not exclusive to Microsoft. Roku users have long struggled with the continued
denial of access to HBO GO while all other platforms enjoy authentication.

Everybody is remaining mum on who is to blame and I'd like some clarification as to who is blocking access in the first place and whether it's even legal. ATT used to do this until it was outlawed. I don't have the resources to engage Comcast in a legal
battle but Viacom and Microsoft do. If gag orders are a non-issue, I think we deserve to know what's going on about this issue.

Thank you for the link. I'm a little confused by it though. I don't use Verizon's internet service, but I do use Comcast. If you have to be subscribed to FIOS with Verizon, then how does a Comcast customer get access? I hope it will be free. The 40 channels would be awesome! Technology just keeps getting better and better!

 

Microsoft teaming with Comcast on Wi-Fi issue

Anybody having Wi-Fi issues with Comcast while playing Xbox One will be glad to know Comcast is working on it. Microsoft is working with them to get ahold on what's causing the issue.

Same story with Viacom's VH1 app.

I filed a complaint with the FCC.

Don't have time to read 3800+ pages of Title 47 FCC Regulations & sue them myself.

 

Seriously why is this still a god dam problem! I'm tryin to watch the mtv app and the dam thing doesn't have comcast. What is it with Viacom and comcast?
