Just thought I would pass this along to the gaming community. Comcast and EA have partnered to bring Xfinity Games. It's in the beta beta stages right now, but you'll be able to play EA games right from your cable box. This will be part of Comcast's X1 platform.
You can sign up for the beta if you want to check it out. The full article is below if anybody would like to know more about the new service.

Comcast and EA partner for Xfinity Games, casual gaming beta launches today

  2. X1 Platform/Xbox One Set Up

For some reason the xbox one won't recognize my Xfinity X1 Platform box to switch channels on my cable box. Anybody else having this problem with the smaller buddy boxes as Comcast call them? I've tried entering Xfinity & Comcast and still nothing.

  5. Comcast may have the worst rating but their service is better than any other provider out there.

I think FiOS is miles ahead of Comcast in terms of service IMO as I've been a customer to both.

    Still with FiOS.

MaximumExtreme - You've obviously never dealt with their customer service on any serious level. I just moved and after a month, 7-8 phone calls, 1 service appointment, and at least 8 hours of my life wasted, they still can't get my cablecard working properly.
Practically every time I've called them in the past, they've *** something up. They are by far the worst company I've ever dealt with.

Okay, so let me get this straight - EA is giving great deals for EA Access users on the XB1, but will be bypassing the XB1 altogether with this news? How's that any good for us?

    GG,

The games are not of the AAA variety on Xfinity. More like tablet and smartphone stuff on your TV.

  10. I've been a Comcast customer since the beginning and their service blows everything else out of the water. Verizon sucks! Now The customer service might not be very good but their internet, tv, and phone is unbelievable!

  12. My sister had Comcast and it was terrible. At least in her area. She finally switched away from them. And likes here service better. Not sure who she uses now but I remember how bad she disliked the Comcast service. And yeah, she said the customer support
was terrible. Luckily the local company here is absolutely outstanding and the customer service is top notch. No Comcast in this area so that is not an option.

Guess this could be a good deal for Comcast customers. Especially if you like EA games. Nothing wrong with options.

As a fellow technician for Comcast, this is pretty cool news. I find it kind of funny that I'm finding out about this now on the Xbox forums and not from my own company but oh well. Our X1 platform is actually really neat and getting better, I'm glad to
hear they're bringing some more cool apps to it.

Comcast is the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. May everywhere Comcast goes, papercuts, wooden splinters, bee stings, flat tires, sore muscles, and a thousand other inconveniences follow them forever.

They are the worst company that has every existed and I wish them nothing but the absolute worst.
