Combine gamertag from one account with Xbox Live Gold of another account

I have had a Microsoft account (account 1) for a while, where all my saved games and achievements are. Recently, I purchased an Xbox Live Gold subscription, but the store made a separate account (account 2) for me with that subscription. I'm trying to merge
these two together into one account, but have had no luck so far.

I know this question has been asked before, but I found many broken links and solutions that did not work. The closest I get is having to wait 30 days to move my gamertag from account 2 to a third account.

So far, I found:

- Cannot move Xbox Live Gold subscription to another account

- Cannot merge two Microsoft accounts

- Cannot move gamertag from account 2 for the next 30 days

- Cannot move saved games and achievements from gamertag 1 to gamertag 2 without blocking new achievements, or not at all, people contradict each other here

- Unable to find if I can remove gamertag 2. If I could do this, I could move gamertag 1 to account 2, but I don't know if this cancels my Xbox Live Gold subscription (which I fear).

To be a bit more specific how do i make my current gamertag an xbox live gamertag?

Note: I have an account on the xbox one but want to carry over my gamertag from the 360 to the one.

What you trying to do is not possible. If a Gamertag has a membership then it is stays on that Gamertag doesn't matter if you change the MSA or not. Possible option for you is call support
support.xbox.com/contact-us and tell them the membership was applied on the wrong account. If the membership is 3 or 12 months there will be no problem for them to cancel and provide you a token
which you can redeem on your correct account. If the membership was not a pre-paid code at the fist place then ask them to cancel and you will get a refund or if you over the grace period then you will get a remaining time in token.

 

I have contacted support via chat, but they suggested I call because of the sensitive account information required to resolve this. I'll make the call tonight if I have some time, or tomorrow. At least I now know it can be resolved, which is a relief.
