Com banned for telling somebody to stop cheating

i was playing a game of hut yesterday and the person i was versing was ragging the puck in his own end after he got a lead. After a period of this i messaged him. After him saying im not good etc. I asked i dont know how you have fun playing like a ****.
Wake up today to a 7 day com ban. I do not think this is warranted, give me a 12 hour ban or even 48 hours but a week for me saying that is insane considering the amount we pay for online access i should be able to voice my opinion against somebody who is
cheating. I want my ban reduced or relinquished asap. Not sure if this is the right thread for my topic but gotta start somewhere

My LIVE account was suspended

I found out today that my Xbox Live account was suspended today but i think that it is being very unreasonable. i met somebody on fortnite who was cheating and being aggresive towards me. therefore i told him i have his ip address so that he would stop (i
didnt). i then come on xbox today to find my account was banned. my gamertag is

What a great friend. Come onto the forum and try to get him banned. I don't agree with what he might've done but telling on him because you're jealous is pretty low.

Oh and the irony of this guy saying it isn't fair to gamers, he was reset for cheating.

There are ways to tell if someone has had action given to them you can simply message them back and if there is no reply that's how you know someone got a coms ban or cheating ban. But it's not hard to tell if someone it cheating or not. So far all I'm basically is seeing is that the company is going down hill and there is no way to stop cheating so y'all allow it but only take action against people that trash talk. Am I reading that right? Because rockstar back in the day had a filter that caught people cheating.

it is already proven these com and pic bans are mostly automated, you can get banned for a gamerpic that is just a red colour, you can get banned for saying hello to somebody and then they report it as it comes under " i don't feel safe ". basically do not use messaging on any microsoft service and do not speak on any Microsoft service.

cheating has to be looked at though, and 3rd party games this is difficult as they are not hosted on Microsoft servers and therefore would be up to the dev/publisher to ban.

Sadly MissyTraxxxx, any form of retaliation, messages, comments towrds the other person in a negative manner will cause such suspensions to happen. Again as everyone has been saying in many threads such as this. Report them, don't contact them in any way,
the terms and conditions clearly state such behaviour will result in this. We all agreed to this when we started gaming. Best to just adhere to the rules and regs. Will be much better for yourself in the long run. I'm sorry you have been banned for calling
out a cheat. But you'll now know for next time. Hope you're back gaming soon.
