    color depth causes audio problem

I had some experiment adjusting different settings in the display & sound setting menu and noticed that when I set the colour depth to 36 bits per pixel, the output audio would irregularly pops or glitches. I'm currently using the pc monitor as the main
display and my hdmi cable does support 36 bits color depth. However, the audio issue would not occur when i set the color depth to 30 bits per pixel. I hope this information helps to fix this audio issue as I do notice the color depth different between 30
    and 36 bits setting.

    :)

    TV Picutre/Audio stutters

I have the following Xbox settings:

    TV 1080p

    TV connection HDMI (auto-detect)

HDTV is calibrated using Xbox One

    Color depth - 24bits

    Color Space TV (RGB Limited)

    HDMI audio - stereo uncompressed

    Optical audio - stereo uncompressed

Running a DirecTV genie satellite box (not the main box)

    client : c31/700

display: native on, screen format original bar color: black

audio: dolby digital (off) [according to menu this then plays standard PCM audio)

I will say that after a further check the HDMI in was loose on the back of the XB1. Will see if that fixes anything.

    Color Depth Question

    Hello Wrecker!

Here is some solutions from the support channel:

Make sure the Xbox is automatically detecting your TV

Go to System > Settings > Display
    & sound
    > Video output. Under the Advanced column,
choose Video fidelity & overscan. In the Display column, ensure that Auto-detect (Recommended) is
selected. 4K isn't available when HDMI or DVI is manually selected.

Also there are more setup and help solutions to 4k and HDR here:

    Hope this helps!
Thank you for your reply. I understand all the settings everything's fine my question was which video Fidelity to pick 8-bit or 10-bit for my particular TV which is a Samsung 10 bit panel hdr10 Plus some people have told me different things that I don't
believe are right so I'm trying to get the right answer. Should I set the (Video Fidelity) To "Color Depth "30 bits per pixel (10-bit)", If my 4K HDR10+ TV is a 10 bit panel? The default preset on Xbox One X is (24 bits
per pixel (8-bit) But you have a choice of the greater Color Bit Depth's of (10-bit) or (12-bit). Thank you to everyone who has input on this.🙂

    Color Depth Question

Yes, choose the 10-bit option for color depth. This will allow HDR color on supported games.
Yes this makes perfect sense. I was thinking the same thing. If you have an older 4k tv with out HDR it would be a (8-bit) panel. If you have a newer HDR10+ panel it would be a (10-bit) panel. and 4k tv with Dolby vision will most likely be a (12-bit) panel,
at least on higher end Dolby vision equipped panels. Anyway I switch my colored fidelity to(10-bit 30 bit per pixel) and noticed a difference right away from the 8-Bit. Much better color fidelity taking advantage of the HDR 10-bit panel. So yeah set it to
the correct color depth of your panel and you'll see the wider colors😎. Just search your TV panel on the internet to find what color bit depth it is.this site will let you know your panel specs.
