    Cold War will not open.


    So after having cold war for a little over a month, this will now no longer open and has started to crash my xbox. I own an xbox series x, and bought the standard version of Cold War as it is promoted as being backwards compatible.

    Activision are now trying to promote the next gen version and have discounted the prices. Which seems very fishy after their recent update has broken this game for so many Series X/S console users.

    Either xbox or Activision or both have taken our money knowing full well that they were going to stop this version from working. Or is a genuine bug they need to patch. I would either like a date on when this will be fixed or my money back. As its only the standard xbox one copy of the game that is having the issue on the Series X. I am not paying £101 just to play this game!

    I have been sold a lie and as an avid gamer, who has stuck with xbox for the last 12 years as I always found it to be the better console, I am very, very angry and appaled that this has not been fixed quicker.

    I would like a response from a representative of xbox or Microsoft on what is happening with this.

    Hi!

    Maybe you have the Xbox One version of COD Cold War and you see that message because the Xbox One version cannot be upgraded to Xbox Series X. You can find more informations about COD Cold War editions here:

    Have you tried out these steps?

    1. Open the Manage Game and Add-Ons option.
    2. Choose Black Ops Cold War.
    3. Install all content packs that are ready for download.
    4. Close the screen.
    5. Restart the Black Ops Cold War application.

    Unfortunately Idk the answer to your problem but are your games not opening either? Or is it just like streaming apps like me? Because cod cold War opened fine. Its BBC iplayer and YouTube that I had the issues with.
