Cold War Crashes/Black Screens on Startup

Ive had Cold War since release and have been playing it without a hitch. Two days ago I go to play some zombies and I cant even start the game. Instantly blackscreens with no loading menu or error code. This is frustrating because the game worked previously and there was no updates released. I own an xbox series x which makes this even more frustrating. Anyone experiencing a similar problem?

Hi there,

Have you updated your game? They recently did an update a couple days ago, read more here. If you have, try clearing your cache, router, resetting xbox to factory settings and reinstall the game. Sometimes a cache issue can cause issues or either a game hasn’t been updated can.

Hi!

Maybe you have the Xbox One version of COD Cold War and you see that message because the Xbox One version cannot be upgraded to Xbox Series X. You can find more informations about COD Cold War editions here:

Have you tried out these steps?

Open the Manage Game and Add-Ons option.
Choose Black Ops Cold War.
Install all content packs that are ready for download.
Close the screen.
Restart the Black Ops Cold War application.

Hi,

What version of the game do you own and how are you trying to upgrade it?

My understanding is that you need to purchase the upgrade directly via the store on the Series X.
