coil whine with latest update

The latest system update from 8/5/2016 has introduced coil whine to my xbox one. Coil whine is a buzzing sound that can be heard from across the room, but only when the system is idle, for example at the home screen. It goes away when the system is being
stressed, for example playing a game. It is also present in instant on mode. This coil whine was not there before the update. From what I have read an update long ago fixed coil whine for many. This most recent update has reintroduced it.

Brand new xbox one noise

Did the update and coil whine gone! Much less sound while the console is in standby too. No sound diffirence when I turn the kinect on / off. Just a simular coil whine noise for about 1 second when turning the linect off but that might be the hd..

 

Post october update noise

I have 2 Xbox One's, the forst is Kinectless version, second is Titanfall bundle with Kinect, both with coil whine pre-update (secon unit less severe). After update, coil whine is gone on the kinectless unit, but still the same on Titanfall bundle. However,
the kinectless One got the horrible disc drive noise, same as DimaK67. Noise will gone after 20 minutes , but is very irritating, specially with Blu-ray discs.

 

Try doing a hard reset by holding the power button down on the front of the console until it turns off the unplug the power brick from both the console and the outlet for 5 minutes the plug everything back in and power back on and see if it resolves the
issue

 

A have another trouble with update this month: The console turns off always. I try reset, its works for many time, until download The same update. So, I think that The troubles comes with updates, but they are necessaries to connect internet and play online.
The Microsoft must read this fórum and fix The fails updates.

I did the hard reset and unplugged it. Didn't solve the problem. From what I've read the only solution I could do is to open the xbox and put glue on the coil to stop its attenuation. Which will probably void the warranty. Otherwise get it replaced or hope
it gets fixed in a system update.

 

If your console is still under warranty then I wouldn't open it unless you want it voided and be unable to have any repairs done to it if need be. As long as you can use the console without any problems. I would just leave it as is
