Codes don't work. It says its from a different region.

Hi, i got an issue going on. you see at first i thought it would be a quick fix, from changing the location, using a vpn but no. Nothing i've tried works.

Let me explain.

I purchase my xbox gamepass ultimate codes, game codes, everything from instant gaming. They've worked really well. But for some reason when i try to redeem my xbox gamepass ultimate key it says: "This code can't be redeemed. It was purchased in a different region from your account. Get more info". and its frustrating. Same is happening to my brother, and we know its not the seller's problem and its surely coming from microsoft. He purchased a code from another seller (kinguin) and got the same results. Purchased from a different region..Im from Europe, and the codes im purchasing are also EU, only.

I have tried absolutely everything to changing location and region on my xbox, xbox account (from the xbox website), and it still won't work. It really frustrating.

Also i've bought 4 codes (after refunding them a dozens of times), and i doubt i could get 4 faulty codes in a row, when i've never had problems with instant gaming.

Is there any way to fix this? Don't just redirect me to microsoft troubleshooting guides, and random nonsense. They clearly didn't work as now im here asking desperately for help.

@op are you sure you didn't buy from right currency instead of the UK only?

And region locks only pull up with mismatched regions

See CAD also on the website

Because canada is still.listed as part of the commonwealth

So we still use British language which messes with our spelling vs the us lol try telling my American friends that when I was 10 lol but our own dollar (If you select currency under UK you have euro and CAD)

Should.be noted double check your accounr if you use us english it creates an us account

I'm guessing you bought a UK code when you were supposed to buy an cad code ? You need to read the description

When I checked the website in question, it only listed Europe codes (as I'm from the UK)

No it would be the sellers fault

One codes are REGION LOCKED

changing the store region has no bearing on your issue it's your billing region

2 it's not recommended but the only solution is worse

You have to add billing address sane as the region of your codes

This requires migration which isn't recommended nor can you migrate back with the codee being active

Fyi if you migrate it takes 3months each move before you can remigrate

HOWEVER you can't migrate back while you have an active code subscription from another region

I'm guessing you bought a UK code when you were supposed to buy an cad code ? You need to read the description since the only two options are EU or CAD codes

Fyi cdkeys.com is better and safer

Basically you need to find out where the code is for and have him reissue the right code for your region

Well their support, is just a bot asking for a pic and there you go. You don't even have to say anything regarding the issue and boom, refund. They won't even refund money, they just give back credits.
