    Code Vein - Transferring save from Steam to Game Pass


    I've played the first 20 hours or so of Code Vein using Steam Family Sharing, but now that it is on Game Pass I thought I'd move my save file over to there. But I can't figure out a way to get the Game Pass version to use my save.

    Does anyone know how to do that? Can anyone at least point me to where the Game Pass version saves are? I absolutely cannot find the save that I quickly made with the Gamepass version. I'd love to be able to transfer my save.

    Keep game saves after uninstalling?

    Unfortunately, it is not possible to transfer save data. The games that are play anywhere titles, will download your save from the cloud. If you purchase through Steam or download from Game Pass, you will need to start fresh.

    Can Starfield saves from Gamepass be copied to Steam?

    a good few games saves can be transferred from gamepass to steam easily, some require a third party app to convert the saves, but yes can be done, i transferred a bunch a while ago as my main platform is steam, i also transferred saves between GOG, EA, Ubisoft and Battlenet. Epic hardly needed anything done as a lot of the games on epic are actually steam games (lol).

    Some saves can also be transferred to gamepass games quite easily.

    I've Forza Horizon Ultimate Steam Edition and Game Pass Ultimate Account and Xbox Series S console. Why I can't sync game progress to Game Pass Account from Steam?

    They're setup as separate platforms. If you were to just play from the Windows store version from Game Pass, you could use the same save for both the console and PC since it's a Play Anywhere title and supports that, but the progress from Steam cannot be transferred over.

    Saves don't transfer to the Steam version of the game. You'd have to buy it from Microsoft to keep your progress.
