    Hi. So i have set the region on my xbox account to US (i am from europe) and I bought the new fifa 22 yesterday, the US version just like the last few years. But this year when i try to redeem the code i get the message "This code cannot be redeemed. It was purchased in a different region from your account". Is there something I can do about that? Any solution? Thank you.

    Hi there!

    Aren't you from the US? The code stated that it can only be redeemed in the US Store. Note that codes are geo-restricted. It can only be used from where it originated.

    You cannot redeem it if you're not physically located in the US. Please be advised that manipulating region to redeem a code or a product is against the Microsoft's Terms of Service.

    Region locked codes can only be redeemed in the region they were created for. If you're going back to India, you'd have to wait to redeem it when you get back. Otherwise, there's nothing you can do to bypass region restrictions.

    In order to redeem a region locked code, your account region has to match your physical location and you have to be in the region the code is for. If you don't meet those requirements, you won't be able to redeem the code. Using a VPN to bypass region restrictions violates the terms of service and can put you at risk for being banned as well.

    Unfortunately, most redeemable codes are region-locked, so you will likely run into regional restrictions when attempting to redeem your code. I'm afraid there is currently no way to redeem content for other regions.

    Attempting to circumvent these regional content restrictions goes against Xbox's Community Standards and could result in your account receiving an enforcement action.
