    I have an Xbox one, and it came with all the "Gears of war" series 1-5 digital downloads for free with the console,

    and two of them, the Gears of war 2 and 3 are having problems, the others downloaded fine.

    A friend was letting me borrow the Xbox 360 disk versions of #2 and #3 games, that I only briefly used,

    so they have a file associated and show up on the games list,

    and the other day I decided to redeem the 2 codes for the xbox one version, because I figured the graphics, etc.,

    would be better, and the codes cleared,

    but they disappeared after entering, and not giving me the download option like the other codes did,

    the icons stay showing up as xbox 360 not xbox one.

    When I tried re-typing the code, it now says it's invalid, I look in the store it says I own the 360 version.

    Has anyone experienced this ? Did I just waste perfectly good codes for nothing because the machine assumed I already had them ?

    The promo codes will be sent out in waves even for disk players

    Disk users get their codes from the retailer at a later date

    If it is from a disk, I would disconnect from internet. cancel installation and do the disk installation first

    Yes as you need to sign into the acocunt that bought the digiral games

    And remake the x as your home console or be signed in online

    Network transfer doesn't cancel the disk requirement for disk games you need to have the disk in the drive

    Actually no disks don't get the codes until release

    The codes are sent out in waves to avoid spaming the download server and making you wait days until it's less.busy

    If you didn't get the disk or code for the fall out its most likely meant for fallout only
