Code activation issue - 2 different MS account mismatch

Hello! I'm a total beginner in the world of Xbox - just got the console for Xmas. It included a Forza Horizon with a code which I wanted to activate on my MS account. When I'm logged into my private MS account and clicking to the "Code Activation" tab, it
would only allow me to activate with my company MS account. Tough, this I do on my private laptop where I never used my company access - those are not connected, only my first name / last name matches, nothing else. This way I don't want to do the activation
not to lose the access - but cannot find the reason and the way how to change this account. Can some of you suggest what should I check, what should I change to have my company account gone from there? Thanks a million!

Ok, sometimes there can be an issue if the MS Account and the profile you're trying to log into are mismatched. Have you tried any of the solutions from the thread I posted?

Keep in mind if your account region doesn't match the region of the codes then you've have a mismatched region

You need to buy prepaid codes from your actual region

So if you are living in France or Germany and using a uk or us account for English content and buying French or German codes that's your issue

Your codes must match the region of your account

You can try swmutches method but there is no garenteed as ms doesn't do exchange rates

That error code generally refers to region mismatch. Be sure the region of your account is tied to the correct region of your physical locale. Cross-region accounts aren't supported and may cause issues with redeeming codes.

Different cards are set up differently. Most issues come from the card not allowing recurring charges. Something MS requires, call Amex, ask how to set up recurring charges or if this is available on your Serve card. Also, make sure it's active and has 2
or 3$ on it for MS to send a test transaction.
