    Hello Xbox, I am writing this today in regards to the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007) servers are indeed broken and is almost near impossible to find lobbies unless you are near the host of the game, I've only been able to find a game if this other player that uses a [Wisc] Clan Tag is host (Which is same state I live in), otherwise we have to join lobbies off of recent players (and I do have a video showing this problem) but it's not only a CoD4 problem, people in the modding community have figured out that backwards compatibility servers are broken and it does some looping thing that gets stuck? They explain it in the video more in-depth that I will link, but the main issue is CoD4 since it's almost dead and not playable since we can only join recents, every other game you can still connect and find lobbies but it's still broken and doesn't work properly, if you're wondering why this should be important, there is still a decent sized community still playing these old games, and many are slowly switching to PlayStation 3 to play now (and it still has free online, should consider making xbox 360 online servers free) since the issue is still persisting over the years and slowly losing customers over this silly issue, below are the 2 videos showing each issue (the backwards compatibility video is long)

    CoD4 video (51 seconds) - I'm on a 4 bar and I can't connect to the host, that is clearly a issue in its self (some portions are sped up to make the video shorter)

    Backwards compatibility issue (10mins 24sec) - In the video it goes in-depth into how it's broken with some tool, starts @ 2:42 (Please don't ban these people, they are trying to help) and @ 3:53 it shows PS3 footage of how it works completely fine and connects almost instantly it seems

    its highly unlikely because activation have to authorise it, if it became backwards compatible they would make less money off COD4 remastered

    When do you think Call of duty modern warfare 2 is going to be made backwards compatible?

    I personally think they should remake it, as well as making it backwards compatible. They should at least remake it, though. MW2 deserves to be remade more than CoD4 deserved it.

    I Just bought/downloaded Star Wars Battlefront for xbox onto my 360(have a hard drive) I understood it was backwards compatable but

    Original Xbox backwards compatibility on the 360 relies on certain files being on the hard drive that are easily corrupted. It is very likely that even if you are using an official Microsoft Drive, at the original Xbox backwards, compatibility is broken, and it cannot be repaired.

    Yeah I believe they said they wont sell COD4 re-mastered separate. I'm not paying $80 or $100 to get one of the two games. Not a fan of the new COD stuff of jet packs and wall climbing. Looks like they took some Halo elements. Also with this COD4 re-master
    I doubt COD4 from 360 ever becomes backward compatible now.

    Backwards Compatibility is Broken!

    Apparently I'm wrong again. I put GOTY DLC disk in the Xbox One...it downloaded all the DLC. But now when I go to load old saved games I'd says I don't have the DLC. Xbox is not recognizing the DLC because I didn't buy it through the Xbox store as a download.
    Please fix. I will not buy DLC that was made years ago over again. I bought the game of the year edition for the DLC. I should have access to that DLC with Xbox One BC.

    I also cannot download the DLC that came with Borderlands body. I put disk in and I'm told that its not compatible. So here's another game with a great race late in the game that I can't use because vital DLC is missing.

    I though it was my goof and I'd jumped the gun with this intial post...but I was right after all. Backwards Compatibility is broken! Please correct any current issues with this probLen and any issues in this regard going forward.
