COD MW2 Uninstalled Itself from Internal Storage

Came home today to play COD after playing it basically every day since release. Upon attempting to open the game, I was sent to the update/download queue screen only to find that the update was the whole 91gb game. I know for a fact it was on my internal storage, so there’s no issue concerning my external hard drive. Why and how does a game uninstall itself? Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening again?

Happened to me just now. I was loading up the game, as I was invited to join a party via Xbox Series S/X, and the game said I needed to install everything. I had to install multi-player, story, and co-op. I was literally playing last night and have been since BETA. I couldn't find the game in anybody my hard drives or internal. When insearched for owned games it claimed it was installed in a certain drive, but when I checked it wasn't there. So I uninstalled everything. This better work or people will be demanding their money back.

Yeah, just happened to me. As soon as I got on mw2 decided to 'update' (reinstall) itself. Looking in the drive, it says the game is still there, but if you try to cancel the 'update' it just deletes the game anyways. I'm on series x currently but this happened with other games on the Xbox one.

I just trun my xbox my call duty was on my xbox last few days now all the pack instilling again i have the dic if self why does it do that

This happened to us a couple days ago. I'm also experiencing issues with 360 backwards compatibility games. The Series X has a lot of issues they need to fix.

Same with me it uninstalled when I tried to install the update.
