Discus and support COD Modern Warfare not going past “press a to start” screen. in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I have been trying to get my game to work since I bought it on my Xbox.     COD Modern Warfare not going past “press a to start” screen.


    I have been trying to get my game to work since I bought it on my Xbox. It will not go past the “press A to start” screen. I have never had this issue and it worked when I would play just warzone. But when I bought the game it will not let me in at all now. I have reset my Xbox, cleared the MAC, unplugged it, reset the router, uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing is helping it get past this screen. What else am I supposed to do?

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    Seems like you have performed all the necessary steps, Jacob. I would like to clarify, will you be playing the game online multiplayer? If yes, make sure that you have an Xbox Live Gold subscription and if not, you can simply set your console offline to play the game.

    Settings > General > Network Settings > Go offline.

    Reading your reply about Xbox Live Gold... is that required in order to play the multiplayer?

    Is offline mode only way to play 2.0 without having to buy monthly subscription?

    Modern warfare Split screen multiplayer not working after season 5 update

    I found way to play split screen on cod modern warfare.

    First when you open the game you should go to offline mode then chose local multiplayer. At that time turn on your second controller and press A to sign in. Then create local game and there you go.

    Quick resolution:

    1)Open Warzone

    2)press start>general tab>near bottom select ‘Game Installs’

    3)install all of the ‘Multiplayer packs’

    4)install ‘multiplayer & special ops pack’

    Boom!!! Your now good to go 👍🏽

    To get to Modern Warfare multiplayer:

    Open Warzone game, on main screen go to the right where it says Modern warfare and select multiplayer
