COD Ghosts re-download fails at 79% every time!!

Hah, I didn't check that! I checked commerce.microsoft.com and it was in german.

I switched the country at
account.microsoft.com/profile -> "Edit your personal info" from Germany to United Kingdom.

PLUS I changed the language under commerce.microsoft.com from Germany to United Kingdom in the bottom left corner.

Will it work now? Note that I redeemed the key in the german xbox-marketplace...

 

You both will need to migrate your account using the link I posted above for migrating your account. The
TOP left is the identifier for what region your billing account is located in. The
BOTTOM left of the site is for the site's locale and does not change your account information.

Example: We use the bottom left locale changer to see what games are available in different regions, but our accounts are still located in the US.

Please try out
this link to change your region of your account. If it doesn't help you out, you need to contact support via phone or chat to walk you through changing your region or help with any billing issues that you may be running into.

live.xbox.com/.../AccountMigration , right? If so, I have done that already, I have sucessfully
migratet my account to United Kingdom, what you can do just every three monts.

However, commerce.microsoft.com/PaymentHub is still in german!

You cannot get uk content that is region locked outside the region

Hence why you need to migrate back to get the german version again

To get region locked content you need to match account region with your actual region

Meaning being in germany with a uk account wont work for region locked content nor does region locked content transfer between regions

You are trying to redownload the german content

You would have to queue the uk content which means another purchase but due to the region lock you cant download it

Your only solution is to restore in 3months to germany or visit uk

 

The game is available world wide but is still region locked

This means you have to have an account region and actual region matching in umorder to download the content with region locks and yes blackops is region locked

Meaning in ordee to buy a new uk content you need to be physically in uk and have a uk account

Same with german content you have to be physically in germany and have a german account

 

The game is multi lingural but it is not selectable

German content is only available in germany just like riussiaan content is available in russia

The language of majority is what ykh can get

The webpage is only refering to the content in the general marketplace and what is available to the world if there is no ruasian version russia wont get russian for example

But since germany is one of the supported languages thats what you get

Your physical location region and account region has to match to get region locked content

Blackops and world at war is one of many cod titles that are region locked

Anything from treyarch is region locked

I never seen any of their games that arent

 

i had migrated my account from India to Poland using the link

live.xbox.com/.../AccountMigration then i changed my profile info on commerce.microsoft.com to reflect Poland as well.

Additionally i deleted my Indian credit card information and replaced with Polish. Still the issue remains the same.

Microsoft chat support is unable to resolve this issue.

If you are 100% sure that you have migrated your account correctly, you will need to
contact phone support to see if they can help you or get you to the right people that can help you ensure your account is fully migrated.

If it is fully migrated, then your issue will be that the purchase was made in another region and you will not be able to access that game. I suggest contacting support for a refund of the game since you are not able to play it, and purchase a physical copy
in Poland.

 

Ohhh no!! All I want are the [Mod Removed - Please do not attempt to bypass the word filter.] original english voices!! Why aren't they provided when I download the (multilangual!!) game with a console, that is set to English?!

nekolexus - Most games go off of what region you are physically located in. If you are not actually located in the UK, then you will not get the English version of the game. That is what multilingual games do: They base off of where your IP address is physically
located and give you settings to that. If you are still in Germany, you are going to get German voices. This is by design, and there is no way to fix that without physically moving you to a different country.

Since I am in the UK from time to time (heck, my wife has been there last week), would the download work if I brought my Xbox and redownloaded it there?

I mean, I redeemed the code in the german marketplace... but would download the game in the UK.

Would this really work?
