Cod ghosts lag

I normally have great connection... I play cod ghosts mostly but I've tried other games like Gta and battlefield and everything has crazy lag.. It's unplayable.. I just wanna play cod ;(.. Any suggestions on what to do to fix this would be greatly appreciated!

Everything you play has crazy lag?



First question would be are there others using the same internet connection, maybe watching netflix or something?



Next question would be if you are using a wired connection or wireless? wireless can be quite unstable and many things in the house can cause interference. ..... microwaves, cordless phones etc.



If these arent the case, and since you say you normally have a good connection, maybe have your isp check things out for you. Maybe a problem on their end. Keep in mind cable internet is a shared connection with everyone else on the line, not just your home.
Each user basically has to take turns sending and recieving data .... the more users online the longer your wait = more lag. If your isp cant find a problem you may have to adapt to playing different tikmes of day tro avoid the neihghborhood traffic.

 

Thats online gaming. My biggest problem is when I decide to game at home, my wife starts surfing the net, my son streams games on his lap top, and my daughter starts streaming movies on her lap top, and usually the mother in law is over playing games online
via her iPad. I dont have a chance.
