COD Ghosts Friends can't join lobby

My NAT is open, always has been, I see a friend on line and he is in the lobby waiting for me, I cannot join his lobby, we have been party inviting which sucks due to the amount of time it takes. on the 360 you pull up your friends list select someone and
join them, on the Xbox one I can do that if they are in a game but not if they are in their lobby waiting for others before finding a match. Not liking this transition so far.

 

I wanted to jump this thread. I can join my friends games but my invites do not work. We are both nat type open, our network settings test out fine...

I have an old Belkin router and chased a problem connecting to Titanfal servers for 2 days before i found a workaround on some obscure post from the publishers of titanfal.

I am suspecting its just my router again... but i cant help wondering, what is the problem? Should i need to buy a new router just to use this system? NEVER had any issues on playstation or pc with the same setup.

 

guys, this is the worst system i have ever come across im trying hard not to swear right now,

how can Xbox expect the common user to know or even mess with the router settings? this was hardly an issue with the 360.

even after getting all my friends in the lobby ready for a game, the system! not network but System boots me to the dashboard, i have had to resort to green screening my xbox one before i even bother to phone my friends to come on and suggest they do the
same.

why should we have to do this just to play a game online that we all pay for?

i have a PS4 that i was planning to use on for exclusive games, but now i will get call of duty for the PS4 and from what i hear there are nowhere near as many issues on that system than the xbox one!

i feel like MS has sold me a piece of garbage that pales in comparison to the xbox 360 user friendliness. you have sold us a system that has non of the good things that the 360 had and also dont work as well.

i do not intend to use Kinect "now disabled it" im not a kid! stop forcing us to use it.

should PS4 turn out to be better online i will not hesitate to jump ship and sell this crap for money to buy PS4 games!

first of all same problem over here. and i think i can change my router settings. But how do i explane this to my mate who lives in England. To microsoft, you have made a crappy console. Big disapointment. In sted of the joy that it should bring you. I only
feel anger and missery. Half a day installing stuff, before i can even play, most of the times can't connect with my mates and play a normal multiplayer game. And not to speak over al those frozen screens is you switch from game to main screen. fix it!!!!!!!

 

Me and my friend are playing Advance Warfare. He is using the downloaded version of the game and is playing on Xbox one while I am using Game Disc on Xbox 360. Now the issue is that both of us are not able to party up in Multi player games. All the options
to add to party or invite to game are disabled for each other. How can we team / party up and play as a team..
