Cod ghosts connection problem?

Hi basically I got my xbox one last week played some Titanfall online Exellent no problems and fifa 14 online no problems but cod ghosts i can barely get one round in and the game freezes and kicks me and pops up with you need to have an active xbox live
account it only happens on cod it's so frustrating can anyone help?

Anyone else receiving an Error message on COD Ghosts Multiplayer saying "Network connection lost?"

 

Single player campaign - COD Ghosts or Battlefield 4?

Normally I can't stand COD. I've got both Ghosts and BF4. I find BF4 far superior (when it works) online. The BF4 campaign is (IMO) awful but the COD Ghosts campaign is pretty good this time around actually.

 

Hmm... have you forwarded all of the ports on your Xbox One, using the steps at this link?

portforward.com/.../Xbox_One (Just choose your router model and it will give you the steps.)

Each game relies on different ports depending on the type of communication taking place, so it's entirely possible that one game may act fine and another will give issues.

 

Try port forwarding also resetting router and hard rest on console.If nothing happens there i cant help you maybe others can

 

I can't currently change any of that as my pc is being fixed, I use a virgin media super hub 2 wireless at the moment but I'm considering changing to wired could that help? I left the game at the menu to 'find a match' and it also came up with I need an
active xbox live account there too so I wasn't even in game at the time :-/

Hey again! Just by reflex, I would definitely recommend being on a hardwired connection, just because it's more stable and reliable than wireless. There have been great improvements, but I still think you get a more solid connection hardwired.

Give that a try! Do you know when you'll be getting your computer back? Or maybe a laptop or one of a friend's you could borrow? By using the laptop and accessing the router's IP, then making those port forward changes, you're basically changing the firmware
of the Router, so you won't need the computer once the changes are made. I do think the port forwarding will go a long way to helping, too, but I totally understand if you don't have a PC available.

tried the port forwarding and reserving an ip for the xbox and still no joy same error message.......... you must have an active network connection to play xbox live matches :/

fifa and titan fall are fine tho just cod ghosts

 

Hmm... this has to be a very frustrating issue, I'm sorry we're kind of shooting in the dark here! There is another possibility. It is, admittedly, just a "workaround" because apparently many people have this issue with no "permanent" fix yet.

Take a look at the following video. The user describes a method of "receiving the error, then ejecting the disc and inserting a different game, playing a match or two, and then going back to Ghosts which then allows you to connect." He does mention that
the issue goes away for a long period, or even stops happening altogether, at least until the next system reboot, at which point you have to repeat the process....



So, I would say keep your ports set, keep the console hardwired into the router (that's another troubleshooting step listed in the Call of Duty forums) and try the steps in the video above. Let us know!
