COD cold war re-install

So i had the trial, i done the pre install ages ago, only just got the game on disc as a birthday present july 26th 2021 and despite installing the whole thing tells me to purchase full game?

I've uninstalled two times, reinstalled individual downloads and still nothing, even in the store tells me i already own it? There is nothing left to reinstall? What am I meant to do?

Although I appreciate your time in offering assistance, that was the first thing I had tried....several times.

All I could think was that the saved data I had, like many, was only recognising the "free trial" save i had, once I deleted that and reinstalled, then reset the console it worked perfect.

Thanks to Activision syncing their players game progress, everything was returned once the game done the synchronisation process when you first load.

Ok so....

Reluctantly, i uninstalled EVERYTHING, deleted both my saved game and the stored space under "manage game" options as I figured I had started the game on the free trial and perhaps that was what prevented it.

Turns out it was!

I uninstalled it all, cleared saved game, hard reboot (without the disc in the console) and then insert the disc, you'll be prompted to reinstall everything including updates (roughly 33gb).

Once done, restart your console and load up, allow it to connect and you should get a % bar.

Not only do i now have all the game but because it syncs with Activision, i also got kept all my game progress!!

Weapons, their ranks, my rank, everything.

I've seen this mentioned no where else so I was very hesitant to delete my progress but its the only thing that has worked for me.

Hi DHG, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

In your games list, focus on a game, press the Menu button on your controller, and then select Manage game & add-ons, from there please click the game icon and click "Install All". It will install all the packs that we have missed in that way we can finally play the game without asking to re-purchase it.

Maybe you have the Xbox One version of COD Cold War and you see that message because the Xbox One version cannot be upgraded to Xbox Series X. You can find more informations about COD Cold War editions here:
