    CoD Cold War not launching on XSX


    I have downloaded CoD Cold War after the free access trial. I originally bought the basic version (not the cross gen because its $10.00 more just to play on the XSX???) and the game won’t launch. Researched the topic and reset the account and xbox while keeping my games.

    Followed and completed the recomended process described:

    Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

    After going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

    Another thing you should check is your NAT type. I would like you to check your NAT type if open because that could sometimes interfere. to check for the NAT type you can follow the steps below:

    Settings > Network Settings > NAT type => It should be open.

    Re-entered and re-set up my xbox series X. Still wont launch CoD Cold War. Checked and my NAT is open. Still wont launch. It will pull up the picture and take me straight back to home after about 40 seconds. No loading screens or anything. I downloaded the cross bundle version that is made for the XSX for an extra $10.00, which is ridiculous to play the same game on an already more expensive console, and lo and behold. The game still won’t launch. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game with its content packs multiple times. I don’t have unlimited internet and installing massive files like this (especially multiple times) significantly drains the amount of internet I have. Please help me with a solution because this has honeslty been an unnaceptable process. I really hope I am messing something up on my end because I have been a strong advocate for microsoft, especially xbox, since I was an actual child.

    Hi!

    Maybe you have the Xbox One version of COD Cold War and you see that message because the Xbox One version cannot be upgraded to Xbox Series X. You can find more informations about COD Cold War editions here:

    Would you mind giving these a try? If possible, please try them in this specific order.

    - Eject your disc.
    - Press and hold your console's power button until it shuts down.
    - Unplug your console for 5 minutes.
    - Turn your console on
    - Insert your disc.
    - Try launching the game.

    _______________

    - Launch the Cold War.
    - Without quitting the game, go to My Games & Apps > CoD: Cold War > Manage Game & add-ons > Saved data > Reserved Space > Delete Reserved Space.
    - Try launching the game again

    - Go to Settings > System > Updates, and check if there are any pending updates for your console.
    - Go to My Games & Apps > CoD: Cold War > Manage Game & add-ons > Updates. If there are any pending updates for the game, apply them.
    - Go to My Games & Apps > CoD: Cold War > Manage Game & add-ons > Manage installation and check if all available content packs are installed.

    * If you have any bonus content packs for DLC content like in-game cosmetics or currency, please uninstall them temporarily so only the base game and the content packs are installed.
    - Restart your console and launch the game again.
