    CoD Cold War keeps crashing on Series X


    I brought this issue 2 weeks ago already with Xbox customer support and was promised that my issue would be answered. Still today no one from MS Xbox department has replied. Our issue is with COD Cold War. We have the new Series X console and the game
    just keeps crashing. Upon googling the issue it seems that we need the ‘Cross Gen’ version of the game. We probably own the Xbox one version. The game is unplayable now, since the release. Is there a way we can get the credit for this version so that we can
    update it to the cross gen version which is $10 dollars more.

    This may not be MS’s fault as I think Activision has done a very poor job of releasing the game. But a refund of my Xbox One Cold War game in order to buy the correct X/S version would be a nice gesture from the Xbox personnel.

    Hi!

    Maybe you have the Xbox One version of COD Cold War and you see that message because the Xbox One version cannot be upgraded to Xbox Series X. You can find more informations about COD Cold War editions here:

    Modern Warfare 2 Freezing my Series X

    Did it crash on other games or just Cold War? I’ve played Cyberpunk on my Series X and other games just zero multiplayer. Decided to jump back into COD and this started happening. That’s why I thought it was the game possibly but I’ll call support and see what they say. Thank you for your reply.

    I have the same porblem and many other users also. I hope it's only a problem with the game and not with the Xbox. All ohter games mainly Fifa and Forza runs with no problems.
