    CoD Cold War Disc


    I am not sure why xbox customer support is gone but i need someone to reach out. I bought Cold War normal edition on disc when it released and now purchased a series x finally. Well come to find out that my series x won't play this version of the game and is forcing me to buy the game again when i launch the disc. I want Microsoft to either give me a digital copy or credit my account $60. This is ridiculous and false advertising saying everything is compatible across the systems.

    Hi!

    Maybe you have the Xbox One version of COD Cold War and you see that message because the Xbox One version cannot be upgraded to Xbox Series X. You can find more informations about COD Cold War editions here:

    I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing issues playing CoD: Cold War.

    Would you mind giving these a try? If possible, please try them in this specific order.

    - Eject your disc.
    - Press and hold your console's power button until it shuts down.
    - Unplug your console for 5 minutes.
    - Turn your console on
    - Insert your disc.
    - Try launching the game.

    _______________

    - Launch the Cold War.
    - Without quitting the game, go to My Games & Apps > CoD: Cold War > Manage Game & add-ons > Saved data > Reserved Space > Delete Reserved Space.
    - Try launching the game again

    _______________

    - Go to Settings > System > Updates, and check if there are any pending updates for your console.
    - Go to My Games & Apps > CoD: Cold War > Manage Game & add-ons > Updates. If there are any pending updates for the game, apply them.
    - Go to My Games & Apps > CoD: Cold War > Manage Game & add-ons > Manage installation and check if all available content packs are installed.

    * If you have any bonus content packs for DLC content like in-game cosmetics or currency, please uninstall them temporarily so only the base game and the content packs are installed.
    - Restart your console and launch the game again.
