    COD Black Ops Cold war - Offline Mode


    Currently I do not have a Gold membership (it's not worth it, I mostly play solo, so please don't suggest purchasing an additional membership to play the games I own).

    I am trying to play Black Ops Cold War Zombies mode solo. I can enter and create a lobby, no problem.

    I can select weapon blueprints I have earned via battlepass and various unlocks, however ally weapons read "level 1" and I cannot create any custom weapons.

    Second, the weapons do not level up when I use them if I log out and log back in. They return to level 1.

    Is this a bug, or is this a predatory marketing tactic for the XBox Live Gold membership?

    Hi!

    Maybe you have the Xbox One version of COD Cold War and you see that message because the Xbox One version cannot be upgraded to Xbox Series X. You can find more informations about COD Cold War editions here:

    When you say "game developers must set this to need server connection to save weapons progress" are you referring to the developers/company being required to host progress online, or that the developers 'must have made this decision?'

    I'm curious if this is a built-in Xbox Live setting, or something that has been overlooked in development. I have also contaced the "Call of Duty" support channel, so of this is the latter, hopefully it can be sorted there.

    Depends if you like WWII (CoD 2, 3, World at War), Cold War era (Black Ops), or modern shooters (MW1-3).
