CoD:AW Xbox One | Installation/Queued Problem

Spoke with Support they blame Activision on not expecting such a turn out Pre Order does that not give you a heads up. I say everyone ask for some form of compensation. 3.5 hours and still updating

 

Try pausing it and hard booting your xbox (holding down the xbox symbol on your xbox until it powers down fully) and resume installation.

 

Found this on another site. It helped me get going.

Luckily, there seems to be an odd fix for this and it actually has mostly to do with the network option. Since there is a day one update that everyone is currently trying to download, the Xbox One can't seem to process all of that information at once, so
it's constantly queueing the install before it actually starts installing the game from the disc. The simplest fix to get the game installed is this:

Pause or Cancel the installation of Call of Duty

Press the Menu button on the Xbox One Dashboard and go to Settings

Then go to Network

Scroll down to where it says Go Offline and select that option

If the game is even partially installed, press the Menu button and select Manage Game and Uninstall

Now you can opt to install the game again, and it should work (that did the trick for me). If it does, you can skip steps 7 and 8.

However, if it doesn't, Power Off your Xbox One completely by holding your finger on the console's Power Button for around 10 seconds

Once you're back up and rebooted, try the install again without turning on your Network and you should be good to go.

That's all there's to it. Mind you, you'll still have to eventually download the update since that's required to play online, however you can at least let the game install in the meantime.

 

I just uninstalled the game. Then, when I put the disc back in, it says there is an update required. I clicked "Download later," and then the disc began installing properly.

 

This is not a good first impression for Sledgehammer, by the way.

 

Whatever Happen to just bring a game home and start playing this whole install thing ruins a midnight launch!

 

If you have the disk version, installing offline is definatly the way to go.

Also you get stuck on 100% install for 20 mins but keep going it will eventually work.

As for the digital preorder 3 of my friends have this but only 1 worked properly.

 

Now what if you can't install while in offline mode? I try that method and get 2% before I get "Installation Stopped." From there, the install goes literally nowhere. Occasionally I might reach 4% but never more than that. It's as if the game HAS to have
the update install with it.

 

I guess I'm just absolutely forced to sit in the never ending "Queued/Installing" loop until they finally fix this problem.

 

So Ive just spent the last 3 hrs uninstalling and re-installing COD Advanced Warfare I purchased it on Sat then pre-downloaded it so it'll be ready to play and now I cant play it. Im really fricking *** right now I spent $100 on this only to be sitting here
3 hrs not being able to play. Ive hard rebooted, Ive deleted cleared my cache and attempted to reinstall but as of 1hr ago its still at 1% *** doesnt even begin to describe how i feel and the worst part is none of the xbox reps are available bc its after
hours...

God Dammit nothing works Since they said they fixed it im gunna let it go all the way to 100% hopefully it will work..

 

Even better - had to redownload, according to the file manager I've downloaded 100+ GB but the download is stuck at 26%. Went up to 33% while I was out but dropped back down again. Having lots of fun playing my £55 single campaign level and single multiplayer
map demo -_-

 

Now I have reason to believe I may have actually had a faulty disc. My original copy would not install with or without the update file so I took it to GameStop and exchanged it. My NEW copy that I'm currently installing is up to 49% without the update.

 

does anyone have any tips for the digital owners ? this is really frustrating as the whole *** reason for "day zero" is early access 12 hours later still nothing. really ***. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
