CoD AW really laggy!!

right I think I may have found the cause, im reading that xbox live has problems with the Virgin SuperHub 2... which is odd. I read a fix on the Virgin forums and it was to reduce my speed in the Hub settings. It seems to have done the trick, no more disconnects.

The only annoying thing my broadband was reading 80mbps+ (upto 150) but with the new setting I can only get 20mbps. is that enough to game on?

You have more than enough speed to play online.

I blame bogged down CoD servers. It will eventually get better as it usually does with other Cod games.

Noticed some issues as well. Most of us in game were going red bar for absolutely no reason.

Yeah it sucks they won't use dedicated. Peer to peer is awfull. That is what the problem is. I had it say searching for new host several times in a lobby. It's ashame as much money as they make off this series they can't update the game engine or give is
dedicated servers.

If I were to speculate... I'd say that it was easier, cheaper and faster to just keep the OG net code than it would have been to actually pay for the R&D to make the game work
with the cloud. In short, the R&D department costs more than the copy/paste department does.

DISCO i was on the super hub 2 and i couldnt get a open NAT on 2 xbox ones and i kept dropping out what i did was spend £160 on a netgear NightHawk router. another thing you could try is turn uPnP on also port trigger or forward depending on how many xbox
ones you have. You could try a static IP. Also if its wireless set it to a channel and 5Ghz or try 2.5Ghz if ur having problems with 5Ghz

 

Activision wont pay ms to use the cloud this is activision after all i had host migration 3 times today in one game

I ran speed test on X1 and I'm at 54Mbps down, 11Mbps up. Yesterday I was able to play games with no problem. Today it's lagging like crazy. It's unplayable. I think XBL is the issue as I have friends on PS4 who say they are having lag free gaming. I think
I'll just play this game on PS4. XBL has been such a disappointment lately with all its issues.

 

No, the cloud is not free to use for the devs. MS may decide to offer special reduced rates... in fact, they worked closely with Respawn and made them a good deal for TF, since Respawn was working with a limited budget.

 

I passed on the Xb1 version and just have the Ps4 one, It plays really bad here in Aus and judging by this thread it appears that XB1 will probably be no better. however I did get Sunset Overdrive on my day off. I am surprised to hear this about cod for
the Xb1 to be honest, if it get's better then I might get the MS version.

 

It sucks that it doesn't use Azure for the multiplayer on the Xbox One. One of the devs said that the game would "support" dedicated servers in an interview, and that platform details would be announced later on, but clearly the game is still using P2P on
the Xbox One and PS4.

It'll likely be the same with all online games that aren't Xbox One/Microsoft exclusive, as we'll get a worse experience due to cross-platform parity.
