CoD AW really laggy!!

I brought AW on disk and every online game I am playing it has disconnected me from servers, during the game its really stutter with lag, it seems everybody in all games im playing are on 1 bar for connection, im on a wireless 150mb broadband and never had
lag problems like this before.

Not sure if its the game and it servers or my end (but I think that's doubtful) anyone know if this is a problem that's happening?

Really Laggy

Hi Guys

I have been suffering with connection problems with my xbox, dropping me out of XBL and really laggy speech in parties and when playing with friends online in minecraft etc.

Its not my internet connection as i plugged the ethernet cable into my laptop and its getting 10 ping, 41Mb down and 3Mb up. its the same with the wireless on my xbox too. works fine on everything else but the xbox.

Any help would be great..

Hey mate, If you're certain there's nothing wrong with your net have you tried deleting your profile from the console (profile only), clear the system cache 3 times. Restart the console and re-download your profile. This can sometimes clear up random drops
outs etc.

i havent read anything about this being a widespread issue, but wireless for gaming is a huge no no, especially if you have any other devices in your house (which everyone does).

Sounds like its dumping you on servers\P2P connections outside of your region though.

Also, its day zero, so theres bound to be issues (imo there shouldnt be, but i cant remember the last game that didnt have them!)

 

its so frustrating, I can't even finish a match online. it just kicks me off saying I must have an active account??? even customizing I get disconnected?

its saying my Nat type is open too?

 

What are your results to this test?

you can thank activision and their refusal to use dedicated servers. Its not gonna run like SO, Titanfall, Forza, etc

 

just turned it back on after a few hours and it seems much better, abit laggy here and there but much improved. hopefuly 1st day bugs.

 

ITs Peer to peer thats why is so laggy at times.

 

If you can make your connection wired, then do it. Wireless is no good for console gaming and will cause you no end of random game problems. I've been playing all day and the connection is absolutely solid. I've been thinking they're using dedicated servers
as it's that good.

 

Have not played on the One yet but on 360 it is pretty bad at times. I was doing well and had a positive k/d and was winning. Then I hit matches where I had no chance at all. Check the scoreboard and everybody has the single red bar jumping. Sometimes
it would jump up and down from single red to full and back quickly. And the game was just unplayable. Whole clip into a guy only to have him turn and I die instantly. These matches were the worst I have seen in a CoD game personally. I really hope it is
not the same on the One. If it is that is a real shame. Titanfall is really not laggy at all for me. I would assume (I know assumptions) that MS will put some major work into Halo to avoid these things as well. If that is the case I will return my physical
copy for the One when it shows up. Just take the loss on my sons 360 digital. Guess I will see when we can download his One upgrade copy.

 

nope its laggy again, just the one good game.

it laggy on my son's account on the xbox but my account is the main account with the xbox live on.. would this have anything to do with the lagging?

more often than not now its not laggy playing, its just kicking us off the game half way through a match. saying lost connection and then saying it needs an active account to play?

 

just happened again, playing fine then other players are running on the spot then kicked with the message.. "you must have an active network connection to play xboxlive or system link matches"

what does that mean???

this is both my account and my son's account.

 

I can attest that all of the lag issues from previous games are, unfortunately, still there (1-shot kills vs. full-clip dispersal as well as the magical bullets that somehow manage to curve around corners, and kill-cams that don't show you the last second
or so of what you did). That being said, the gameplay feels perfectly smooth otherwise - in other words, it's great at "hiding" the lag, but not necessarily getting rid of it.

Regarding P2P vs. dedicated, did anyone get a DIRECT answer as to which it is (or both)?
