    COD:AW Next Gen Free Upgrade problem


    I got my Xbox 360 version of COD: AW Day Zero Edition just fine, but according to the tile on the home screen of the 360 I can get the free upgrade for the Xbox One. After logging into my Xbox One there is no option anywhere to download the game for the
    One as the free upgrade, it asks for me to pay another $59.99. Anyone else having the same issue? Is there a solution?

    Hi there.

    Unfortunately, the offer to upgrade from old-gen to next-gen with this game expired on March 31st 2015. To play CoD: AW on your Xbox One, you will have to purchase it for Xbox One.

    Maybe you need to wait a bit before trying to do the upgrade.

    It could be that there is a waiting period before you can use the upgrade option because they knew people that still own a 360 as well would just buy the 360 version, milk it for achievements for a day and then download their "free" xbox one upgrade version
    and start all over again. It might be designed that way to stop people taking advantage of the system .

    Or it could just be glitched out. Either way, give it some time. The game just launched.

    I just assumed it would be similar to the way they did this with Destiny. You had to buy the 360 version to get the One version for free (digital) and they were both available the same day.

    Same. Bought the day zero edition on the 360. it downloads just fine on the 360 but on the one everything keeps telling me to pay again and the day zero extras all say unavailable.

    Alright well now it is 10:20 am my time, still no ability to download AW on my One. The only options I get are Day Zero for $59.99, Atlas Pro for $99.99, and the basic release which says "Unavailable."

    Me too. I did the same thing with Destiny, and it worked fine. Hopefully this will get fixed today!

    Still not working. I feel like I've been misled and I'm very disappointed in Microsoft and Activision.some sort of compensation ought to be in order.

    Alright so, it works now. Go on your Xbox One and look up the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Launch Edition. Should be free. Downloading mine right now.
