COD AW digital copy upgrade. Keep both? Play both?

I don't see a way to preorder COD Advanced Warfare digital copy for the 360 yet. My question is if and when its available and i upgrade it to the current gen version will i be able to play both? I have the Xbox One and a 360. Most of my friends are still
on the 360. Was wondering if i would be able to bounce between systems and play. One xbox support person i asked said once i upgrade my copy to the One the 360 would no longer be available but on COD website says ill retain both licenses. If anyone has any
info that would much appreciated. Thanks.

COD: AW digital upgrade

i only got this game digitally so my kids can play it on 360 and i could play on xbox one and now i can't get my game if i would have known i would never have bought cod

 

Can i download cod:aw on my 360 if i have it on One?

I bought the AW edition of the xbox with digital download copy of AW. I know if you buy AW for 360 you get a free upgrade, but does it work in reverse as well? I have friends who only play on 360 and would like to play with them as well. Thanks for any

I am also looking for a way to buy this. From my understanding, it will be the same as they did with Ghost, which I did purchase. You will have a license for both, just need to download the games to each console. There is no upgrade fee like they did
with Ghost and your stats will be able to carry over from one to the other.

Someone should confirm this, but I am 98% sure. When they did it with Ghost, it was available launch day if I remember correctly and this will more than likely be the same.

Right Ive been trying to get confirmation of this the last 3 weeks. Ultimately i want the One version but if i can get the 360 version i will so i can play with my friends who don't have a One. I still don't see a way to get the 360 version digitally. They
said it has to be digital 360 version in order to upgrade not physical but no way to order it only the season pass. If i could just preorder the One version and get the 360 version later that would be fine but from what i understand you have to preorder the
360 version. On playstation it doesn't matter which version you order first. You can get the PS4 version and still download the PS3 version.

Why does this have to be so confusing or am I the one causing this confusion?

 

MS/Activision need to let us know what will happen.

MS want us to go digital then this is one of the things that need sorting, more information or something.

 

It doesn't seem like you'll be able to preorder the 360 version and get day one stuff. So it looks like I'll end up just getting the one version only don't really want to miss out on the day one stuff. Seems like we would have to choose between the two.
Kind of lame if you ask me.

You can check the Call of Duty Advance Warfare website. It says:

Q. Who is this program available to?

A. For full game free upgrades, this is available only to those who purchase a digital copy of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on Xbox 360 or PlayStation®3

It only works UP (360 --> One) not down (One --> 360) from what I have seen. I have read a few forum posts that say they contacted Activision and were told that. Nothing about MS though.

Seems like they are going to hold the 360 version until the 4th. And I have to wonder if they give any pre-order stuff. You would think with it being available for PS3 to pre-order they would want to put it here. Activision is saying it is up to MS on
that. So MS could do it.

 

This situation has gotten ridiculous. I kept thinking that closer to launch MS/Activision would clarify things and logic would prevail. Now it seems like neither gives a hoot about it. My son asked for an X1 for Christmas, but wants COD:AW on day zero.
If MS doesn't get their act together and make the digital version available on day zero for 360, I'll have to get him the disc version and then will forego buying him an X1 (not spending another $60 for COD). Most of his friends have not gone next gen yet
and they are all talking about PS4, so it may be better to hold off anyway (at least Sony got it right with crossbuy).

 

Yeah, this has truly *** me off and will probably cause me to not even purchase the game. I took off work on the 3rd just to download this from the marketplace.. I just got off the online chat with Microsoft support and he said they have not set a scheduled
release date for the 360 digital version. My disk drive stopped working a long time ago so I download all my games and I assumed I would be able to download this at midnight on the 3rd...I will be HIGHLY *** off because like I said, I scheduled off work for
this. I had to schedule off work over a month ago so there was no way for me to have the available information about when we'd be able to download this that long ago...

 

Delaying the release for the digital 360 version will be a lot of dollars for MS . A lot of people will forgo waiting the one day and buy physical copies. This strikes me as being anti- consumer.. The Xbox platform has always in my mind been the first
choice for first person shooters, but with this release I might have to seek other options..

 

SERIOUSLY IT HAS ME SOOO UPSET. JUST SPENT 60.00 ON THE GAMESTOP DIGITAL VERSIN BECAUSE THE 360 HAS NOTHING YET THE DAY ONE PRO VERSION IS SO MUCH BETTER AND CHEAPER%%$#$%% GOD DAM BIG BUISNESS!!!!

 

When I talked with XBL support, the guy did a bit of digging around to try and find an answer. Here is what he came up with. At 12 EST Nov 2nd, you should be able to go to the store for the 360 and download a digital version, which should be a Day Zero
Copy. My suggestion is to keep your pre-order and try this at 12 EST. If it is not there then, it will not be available until official release day then.

This is really senseless and bad business not fully explaining how this will work. Xbox does not really have anything to do with this, it is Activison. XBL just gets it from them when it is available.

 

Can anyone confirm if the download is available and what the size is?
