COD Advanced Warfare Installing strangely.

Hey guys,

Just curious if anyone has encounted this before. I put the new COD into my Xbox and started the install. The disc starts to spin and it says its Installing. Then about 5 seconds later itll change back to Queued and the Disc will stop spinning. Has anyone
else come across this?

Issues while Installing

Hi guys, I have a new xbox which is fully updated (so you know). I bought cod Advanced Warfare and it is stuck at 100% installing. Please help me out.

Sorry to hear it. Some people have had issues in the past with installing disc based games. Try disconnecting your console for the internet for the duration of the install.

 

Yep, switching the console to 'Go Offline' seems to do the trick.

 

I'm wondering if they may have changed the behavior of how disc-based games install, due to the simultaneous installation of the game and the update patches when a new game is installed. It used to be, the game would just say "installing" for a REALLY long
time, longer than normal, and it was because it was also downloading and installing all patches in the background at the same time. I wonder if, now, the disc goes to "queued" until the update is downloaded and ready to install. The fact that disconnecting
from the internet solved the issue seems to support that possibility.
