COD: ADVANCED WARFARE INSTALL ISSUE

HEY GAMERS,

I HAVE READ ABOUT AND ALSO EXPERIENCED ISSUES WITH INSTALLING THE LATEST COD AND HAVE SEEMED TO HAVE COME UP WITH A FIX. THIS IS FOR THOSE WITH THE DISC VERSION ONLY.

-REMOVE THE DISC TO QUEUE THE GAME THEN UNINSTALL ITS CURRENT PROGRESS COMPLETELY

-POWER DOWN THE CONSOLE AND TURN OFF AT WALL FOR MORE THAN 10SEC

-TURN BACK ON AT WALL THEN HOLD YOUR FINGER ON THE POWER ON BUTTON FOR 8 SECONDS THEN RELEASE

-WAIT A SEC THEN TURN YOUR CONSOLE BACK ONCE BOOTED INTO HOME MENU LOG INTO YOUR PROFILE THEN GO TO SETTINGS, NETWORK, AND CLICK GO OFFLINE.

-PUT GAME DISC BACK IN PRESS MENU, MANAGE GAME, THEN CLICK ON INSTALL(SOME MAY HAVE TO CLICK UNINSTALL AGAIN I HAD TO THEN WAS ABLE TO CLICK INSTALL STRAIGHT AWAY

PRIOR TO DOING THIS THE DISC HAD BEEN INSTALLING FOR TWO HOURS AND HAD ONLY HIT 27%. AFTER FOLLOWING THESE STEPS THE GAME HIT FULL INSTALLATION WITHIN ABOUT 1/2 HR.

Advanced Warfare install issue

When I try to install the content package for Call of Duty : Advanced Warfare, I get to 90% before I get an error message of "Selected Save Device Lost". This is really frustrating as although I haven't been a big fan of the Call of Duty franchise so far,
I kinda wanted to play this one.

I've tried installing to hard drive and flash drive and both have the same problem.

Does anybody know of any solutions to this problem? I've searched the internet and found nothing. I've cleared the cache and restarted the XBOX several times. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

hey, thanks for the suggestion inset. however, for future reference please check the date of a post. as this thread is almost 2 years old the OP has more than likely already solved his issue.

I'm wondering if they may have changed the behavior of how disc-based games install, due to the simultaneous installation of the game and the update patches when a new game is installed. It used to be, the game would just say "installing" for a REALLY long
time, longer than normal, and it was because it was also downloading and installing all patches in the background at the same time. I wonder if, now, the disc goes to "queued" until the update is downloaded and ready to install. The fact that disconnecting
from the internet solved the issue seems to support that possibility.

Yep, switching the console to 'Go Offline' seems to do the trick.
