COD 2014

Black Ops 2 wrapped up in a Halo skin may get me interested in CoD games again...

Hosting in ghosts is great for me....Hosting in black ops 2 gave me gray hairs.

Please bring us back to WW2. Some people got sick of ww2....but that was 6 years ago! Most COD players never even played waw or cod 2.

World War 2 is the best era for shooting games IMO. Bring back the trenches, the gore, the grittiness. I would love to see the gib factor come back too.

This time around I would like to see the BAR perform a little better. Unscoped rifles may stand a chance with the removal of jugs too.

I hope they have an old fighter plane single player mission and a battleship mission shooting down kamikazes. They could even get risque and have a mission where you are the kamikaze.

IMO world war 2 is the only option this time around. They can't to modern and futuristic isn't cod to me. Leave that to halo and titan fall....I don't know if they would want to compete with titanfalls futuristic mechanics anyways. I didn't enjoy the vietnam/cold
war era. The Germans, the Japanese, the Americans, the Brits. /thread

 

I thought vietnam would be good if it was styled like waw.

Its not the future but its not to old. It could be the next waw!

As many of you may by now Call of Duty is a yearly title made in alternatively by Activision owned studios Infinity Ward and Treyarch. Last year’s Call of Duty titled Call of Duty: Ghosts was developed by Infinity Ward so many would presume that it would
be Treyarch’s turn next.

This is conflicted by reports coming in from Sledgehammer Games’ website (and Linkedin) who are looking to fill 10 or so temporary positions to work “on the next Call of Duty game”. Sledgehammer Games is also an Activision owned studio founded in 2009 and
helped Infinity Ward in the development of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 alongside Beachhead Studio.

Now if this rumor is indeed true and Sledgehammer Games are indeed working on Call of Duty 2014 then it’ll mean that Call of Duty is now shifting to a 3 year developmental cycle. Sledgehammer Games has not worked on a project after finishing Modern Warfare
3 in 2011.

This cycle would have Treyarch’s next game come out in 2015, their last outing was Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 in 2012.

I personally think this is a great decision and would improve the quality of the games. Call of Duty: Ghosts, to me at least feels rushed and quality of the games has been going down with each installment. The yearly Call of Duty title is announced in the
first half of February so we’ll surely find out what’s going on next month.

Interesting. MW3 was the best Call of Duty out there, in my opinion, though it did have weapon balance issues. If they have a hand in the next one I'd be interested to see how it goes.

 

I hear sledgehammer only did survival.

 

The series should just take a good 1-2 year hiatus. The series has become so stale now. I played the sp on Ghosts and that was as far as it went. MP is just like the last two previous games with a few new "tacked" on modes so sheeple will shell out another
$111 for the game and season pass. There's no surprise that they will be announcing the next one this May as they do every year.

 

I think, of the CoD games I've played, Black Ops II definitely has the best multiplayer, it seems to be much of an improvement. I do want a continuation of some form of the Zombies gamemode, I want to find out what happened to Takeo, Tank and Nikolai after
the events of Moon, that was never explained.

 

I want a World War 2 game. Something that revisits some battles we've played before, but doing it on next gen.
