    Ive set up my new controller to turn my series x on and off but it doesnt work. No matter ehat its set to it just wont turn it on or off

    Most likely yes but the xbox one wont be future proof aka wont be able to play certain games in the future the xbox one x will be it will eventually turn into an older console but still will be able to play the game the series x can

    Hey A, thanks for posting your question in the forums. I'm sorry you're dealing with this power issue with your Xbox Series X!

    Are there bugs inside the fan vents? The bugs might have left something inside that prevents the Xbox from properly ventilating and cooling. If it happened with two separate consoles, it might be something in the environment. Try another outlet if you can. Also, if you're using an extension cord or power strip, try plugging the Xbox directly into the wall to rule that out.

    If you recently purchased the console, it might still be within warranty. You can see Xbox repair services on this page:
