First, you should review your account's purchase history at
https://account.microsoft.com under Payment & Billing. If you see two purchases for the same item at about the same time, make a note of the order number for the second purchase (the bad one) and

submit a refund request at this site. If there is just one, contact
Xbox Live Support, then your bank (or the company that provided the payment method you used that got the duplicate charge), because the charge may have been accidentally submitted twice.

I'm sorry to hear about the issue with the purchases.Here is some additional information regarding the refund process. If already did refund request you need to follow up by email.

In regards to requesting a refund you will need to do so online. Click here to learn

to complete the refund request form.

After you submit the request, you’ll receive confirmation and follow-up emails that will include instructions on how to keep track of your request.


If you are needing further assistance with the purchase I would suggest to contact Live Support.


When you go to Contact Us,follow these steps to request a call:

• Step 1 ----click on Contact us
  
• Step 2 ----under what you having trouble with select Subscriptions & billing
  
• Step 3-----under what is the issue I can't redeem a code then hit next
  
  Step 4 ----scroll down to select request a call
  

Please be sure to try the website request refund first, as agents will direct you there anyway. Also you are able to reply to the emails that you will receive from doing the online request directly.

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are requesting to receive the funds that you were charged for today back into your account.

The only way to get the money back into your account would have to be by
requesting a refund for the item.

Just to confirm, this item was not a
pre-order was it? Keep in mind that if this was a pre-order, if you are using a debit or credit card, you don't actually get billed for the item until about ten days before the release of the title.

Additionally, you wouldn't be able to buy an duplicate item of something you already own digitally, unless this is a different version of the title [I.E. Gold or Deluxe editions]. So if you request a refund for the item, you wouldn't lose your original license,
you would only be returning the new items.
