Co Pilot with Xbox Accessible Controller issues

I have a physical disability in which I do not have function in my right hand and limited use of my left. So, I have been using an adapted controller from Evil Controllers that helps me by moving more buttons to accessible spots on the left side of the
controller. I also have an Xbox Accessible controller that I was excited to use the Co Pilot feature with the Evil controller. However when I went to turn on Co Pilot, it worked for the Xbox Accessible controller but was greyed out for the Evil controller.
This has caused much frustration and stress after purchasing the Xbox accessible controller and additional buttons with the plan of using co pilot with it. I have not found much information on this topic online, besides maybe it needs to be an "official Xbox
controller" but to my knowledge, it is. I would appreciate any ideas!

Plug the wheel into a second controller and turn on controller sharing it’s called co pilot in the Xbox settings resolved all my issues

Sometimes when it’s not working go in settings turn co pilot off and back on works too

Have you tried contacting customer support with this issue? Or even contacting the seller of the Evil controller?

I've emailed with Evil about it and they said it could be because my controller was ordered a while back and the model wasn't compatible with the Xbox adaptive controller. So, they suggested I order a new custom adapted controller (not very cheap) since
they my use newer models now when making the customization's. I received my new controller recently, and nothing changed and still have the same problem... very frustrating!!

Hi Wade!

Try to assign each controllers to their designated profiles

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Accessories.
Select the controller, and then the More options icon (…). Assigned to shows the current account assigned to that controller.
To assign the controller to another account, select Assigned to, and then select the account that you want assigned to the controller. This will pair the controller to this account.

Be sure to turn off co-pilot:
Using the pilot's controller, press the Xbox button to open the guide, and then select Profile & system > Settings > Accessibility > Controller.
Choose Co-pilot settings, and then select Turn off Co-pilot.

Are you using two controllers because the co-pilot function configures the second controller to work in sync with the first one EX. You are playing a game with a lot of different controls and combinations, the co-pilot function allows the second controller
to work with the first and use the set of controls you can't with the first so like if your playing a solo fighter pilot game and you are trying to fire the weapons and deploy flares and you can't do it co-pilot will either let the second controller deploy
the flares or fire the weapons at the same tme as you deploy the flares.
