anyway why is battlefield 1 720 p this is a big dissapointment! I know it's alpha but nothings going to change now ..........so sick of my favourite games(battlefield series)running like crap on xbox one!

Can't wait for Sony neo this September. Too early to get excited about Scorpio just yet imo.

Star Wars Battlefront - What do we expect?

 

If it means extra in game effects, fancy lighting and a smooter frame rate, over a high screen res, i will take this any day of the week, and more devs need to consider this option rather then being strong armed into 1080p because, you know, 1080p, only
good games are at 1080p. (look's at steam library and see's Aliens CM, Flatout out 3 and cries because bought them at launch) lol

 

720 p affects a game like bf because it muddies up the picture so much you struggle to see people on the map quickly enough.

 

Can't say i have ever had that problem, possible my 60in Plasma helps in that matter. lol

1: Buy a high end gaming PC to play your games at 4K

2: Buy a PlayStation 4 to play your games at 1080p (sometimes)

3: Wait and buy a PlayStation Neo to play your games at 1080p

4: Wait and buy an Xbox One S to play your games at 4K (upscaled)

5: Wait and buy an Xbox Scorpio to play your games at 4K

Your choice sir.

 

I have this on the PC, with a 970 and i I core 7, so i have played it on ultra, and i find the XB1 version just the same as the PC, i really do not notice any issues with these muddies as you call it, even when you drop the PC down to 720p it stll looks
fantastic on the PC.

What are you playing this on, might be your monitor or Tv that is causing those muddies.

 

@omega your obviously looking at bf4/hardline/battlefront on xbox one through rose tinted glasses.!

I've got both the ps4 and xbox one versions ( to play different friends) and there is not just resolution comprises made on the xbox one version of bf4 there are textures and particle effects not to mention shadow quality. Your 970 is usually a great card
but sadly your one is defective if you think xbox one has ultra equivalent effects.

A xbox one gpu 77** is not compatible to a 970 gtx I'm sorry your talking rubbish!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Sorry but if all this sort of thing bothers you that much why are you gaming on consoles?

If you want the best resolutions etc. then buy a decent gaming pc.

 

I want to game on xbox not a pc been there done that cant be bothered with time consuming fiddling with settings drivers and patches also mouse and keyboard at a desk getting to old and lazy for that. Is it too much to ask for a console that performs well?
I will be buying Scorpio can't wait this gen has been pathetic performance wise! Resolution has only been the number 1 topic on forums for one reason..... The current gen consoles are underpowered!

I want to play games with aim assist as standard on a couch/chair with 1080p 60fps this generation should have delivered this after last gen being 720p or slightly less.

I love everything about my xbox one except the performance in some games!

 

Well my XB1 cost me £190, £27 for a years gold............ my 970 cost me £220, and the game i get on that £190 console and it's hardware is not far off from what i would get on my £220 970 card, my £250 I7 core , my £110 of 16gig 1800 ram, my £60 240 gig
SSD, and my £80 Mobo....bang for buck my XB1 has been a beast compared to my PC.

But in the end it's all subjective anyway, but if you are not enjoying the game because of the hadrware then it might be time to move to other hardware, that is the best thing about gaming now, so much choice, why limit yourself when you have so many options
at hand, play the game on the hardware you enjoy it on, that's what it is all about at the end of the day.

 

Resolution has not been the No1 topic on these forums by a long way.

The majority of gamers realise that nice graphics don't make a good game.

Take Halo 5,looked great but was a terrible game.

Performance in this gen is just fine.
