Club name customization.

Xbox support agent suggested that I tried bringing my issue to the attention of Xbox ambassadors. I'm extremely skeptical, so please don't misread my skepticism as hostility. I do understand you're trying to help.

My issue is, I have been given ownership of a club. I do want the club itself to remain, since it's longstanding established history holds intrinsic value and the membership is ~950, I don't want to start a new club. Approximately a year ago the previous
owner changed the club name. Frankly, I hate the name of the club. Because of this, I now own a club for which I don't want to neglect, or delete, but I don't have any pride in a name that I hate; A name that Xbox won't allow me to change because of the previous
owner. I should not be penalized for the actions of the previous owner. If there is a way to rectify this, I need to know.

From our understanding, you are trying to change the name of the club but it will not allow you. In order to change the name you would need full ownership of the club. If the original owner only quit or left the club then it will not allow you to change
anything. The original owner would need to go to their club settings and select to "transfer ownership".

Please try to contact the owner and see if they will transfer it over.

Hey there, clubs can only be changed a select number of times, you won't be able to change it.

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear about the issue with editing the club name. Unfortunately, when

creating a club the following instructions are placed due to not being able to change the name:

Name your club and select Continue. (Remember that your public or private club name will be searchable, so make it great!)
Double-check your club’s type and name, and then select Create club.

A club owner is the person who creates a club (or a club is transferred to them). The owner helps ensure that a club is safer and more enjoyable for everyone—they send invitations, adjust settings, delete inappropriate content, and manage memberships. Club
owners can also invite club members to be admins to help with daily management of the club.

Yes. This is my contention. As I stated in my original post, " I should not be penalized for the actions of the previous owner."

Where did you see this?

On the support page for Clubs, it says: "You can change customizations at any time by going back to your club’s Welcome

tab and selecting Customize."

They don't mention a limit anywhere.
