    Cloud Storage on XBOX One


    I would like to know when I go to settings>storage on my xbox one console where is the cloud option which I thought they added so that I could use to save games also besides my external and internal hard drive?

    The xbox 360 console has one and after doing a search on the internet about this xbox one also is supposed to have one but can't find it anywhere?

    RDR on XBox One No Local Game Saving

    I just started playing RDR GOTY Edition on Xbox One and it only allows game saves to the cloud. Why can't I select my Xbox One hard drive for game saves? I understand the need for cloud storage in order to play the game on both Xbox 360 and Xbox One, but
    cloud storage shouldn't be the ONLY storage solution.

    Cloud Storage on XBOX One

    The Xbox One does have a Cloud, and it does save everything (apparently), but you can not access it like the Xbox 360. This cloud has unlimited space unlike the 360, which is great, but we can't even access it to ensure stuff is actually saved there.

    So will this be something that we will be able to access in the future and maybe even be able to move purchased DLC from the xbox 360 cloud to the xbox one console when the xbox 360 games are fully supported on xbox one?

    Or will we just be able to find that game and download the DLC again since that content has been already been purchased for each game?

    I don't know about that possibility. I do know that the Cloud for me isn't working, and I'd like to make a forum about it, but I don't know how.

    Erich, backwards compatibility games will be able to use previously purchased DLC, if the publisher allows it.

    Hi there

    If this is 360 cloud storage you have a 2GB save limit and you will have to delete some saves to free up space.

    If it's xbox one cloud storage then I'm not to sure to my knowledge there is no save limit on xbox one cloud storage but I could be wrong

    Xbox Live Cloud Save

    Cloud is an online storage that can be accessed using Xbox Live Gold for Xbox 360 consoles and Internet connection if Xbox One. Basically, if you have cloud, your game saves get stored to your console's local storage and the cloud. Let's say for example
    you performed a factory defaults for your Xbox One or format of hard drive for your Xbox 360, your save games from the local storages would get deleted but since you have cloud storage, your save games can be retrieved. This is why cloud can be considered
    as your back up.

    If you read the xbox support faq page the info is all there:

    "Cloud saves let you play games on multiple consoles from where you left off. If you have more than one Xbox One console, or if you want to play games at a friend's house, you can store your saved games on Xbox Live servers in the cloud"

    and

    "On Xbox One, each game is provided storage. As a user's game library grows, so does their cloud storage, and an Xbox Live Gold subscription isn’t required. This gives Xbox One users unlimited cloud storage based on their library size"

    To recap Cloud saves is storage for game saves and the space you got is based on the game you got.
