    Cloud Storage Issues

So here's a summary of my situation: I played a game that I was saving through the cloud, and after quitting the game (not to dashboard) I unplugged my xbox, relocated it, and switched it's hard drive with that of my other xbox. Upon attempting to play on
the second console with the first hard drive I received the message that things still needed uploading to the cloud on my last played on xbox. I proceeded now to the original console with the second hard drive where it downloaded an old version of my cloud
saves, therefore making me lose progress. No matter how I switch the hard drives I still get the same problems. I managed to find my Cloud Storage Cache on my first hard drive which I hypothesize to be needing uploading to the cloud as it contains the save
data that has yet to be uploaded as a result of me failing to quit to dashboard before I unplugged the console. I spent numerous hours tonight chatting with Microsoft support, once being disconnected due to an error in the service department of Microsoft,
or so I'm told, once being told that their troubleshooting tools were not working and to try back in a couple of hours, and finally being matched with someone who I had to explain most of cloud saves and Xbox in general to. The first to people were great but
due to circumstance were unable to help me, I'm hoping that this will not be the case on the forums. I apologize for the long write up and the whining (It's now five AM), I look forward to peoples responses, thank you for taking the time to read this.

    :)

    Cloud Storage issues

    Hi,

I uploaded two save games to the Xbox 360 Cloud Storage yesterday because I wanted to try it out and thought it would work as a nice backup in the event of my hard drive dying or something like that. I backed up two save files (manual saves) to the Cloud. When
I started those two games, (Skyrim and DOOM 3: BFG Edition) the guide window popped up and said that the content was syncing with the cloud. I thought everything was working fine. Today I loaded up those same games and noticed that the sync window was not
popping up. I didn't pay it any mind and figured it was just doing it in the background.

So, then I got curious and went to the System tab to see if the saves on the cloud matched the saves that were on my hard drive. My Skyrim save displayed as "Save 9" on my hard drive. On the cloud, it displayed as "Save 6" and was dated to yestday. The cloud
is obviously not syncing with the files on my hard drive despite it showing a "In-Sync" display next to each save on the cloud, and now I am here.

Does the Cloud update it's information automatically? What's the point of the sync if it doesn't? I was under the impression that the Cloud on Xbox would work like the Cloud on Steam. Everytime I play a game on Steam and then exit Steam, the program syncs
with the Cloud Storage and updates all the information to that of what's on my hard drive. Either I'm having some sort of glitch or this is a half-*** Cloud Storage solution.

If you chose to "copy" your save to the cloud, all you have done is create a seperate copy of the file in the cloud. That copy will not update on its own. It is just a copy. If you want your cloud saves to stay current, then you must "move" the save to
    the cloud.

Put the storage back on that you used when you saved it

Then go in the game, load the file, leave it and it should sync.

Next time when you safe something, leave the game then go back and load your save and then you can change your storage and play from every other 360 console.

When I changed the hard drive, I got a message to enable cloud storage as it re-disabled itself. Upon attempting to re-enable it I get a message saying that I can't enable it quite yet and that I need to delete my console cloud storage copy. I don't know
where this is or if I really should delete it, and I know based on past experience that I can just try to re-enable again and then not get the message, should I do this?

Well with the 360 the cloud works the way I told you.

Ones you saved a game on it, it loads it up after you went back in the game to load that file.

How do you wanna re-enable the cloud?

    Do you disable cloud first?

When I try that I get the message that I need to delete or move my files first.

Do you do that with 2 storage devices?

Hey, Icarus IR07! I'm sorry to see this issue on your Xbox One! Is this happening with any other back compat games? Have you tried clearing out the 360 Storage yet? You can do this by going into Settings > Storage > Clear local Xbox 360 storage. This will
clear out everything and force a new download of your 360 profile onto your One.

Let us know if it's happening with other games, and if the clearing of local storage helps. :)
