Cloud storage for Xbox One.

How can I delete cloud storage for GOW2? I played game last week and now I can't. I've tried the other GOW games and they work. I try to load game and it gets to updating network settings and I get a noise for 5 to 10 seconds and game closes. I can't play
it on 360 either.

RDR on XBox One No Local Game Saving

I just started playing RDR GOTY Edition on Xbox One and it only allows game saves to the cloud. Why can't I select my Xbox One hard drive for game saves? I understand the need for cloud storage in order to play the game on both Xbox 360 and Xbox One, but
cloud storage shouldn't be the ONLY storage solution.

Hey, DashingCat717! You can go into Manage Game for Gears of War 2 and then delete only your save in there. When you attempt to, it should give you an option to delete local only or all. You will want to delete all to delete your cloud save.

Please note that when you do this, all of your progress will be lost.

When I click on Saved Data I don't get option of local or all. I tried that this weekend. I tried again last night but nothing, same story. I deleted saved data but still get same results. I've tried loading game before logging in but same results after
logging in. It has to be corrupt file at cloud.

It all started with G-Son and I playing game, split screen. We play games split screen all the time. The only game that I get multiple save files is Halo 5 which you can't play split screen. I have all of GOW games, Battlefront, Slylanders, Halo Reach. The
only problem I have is with GOW2.

Are you able to start a new game at all instead of loading up your current save that seems to be corrupted? The only way to delete a cloud save is by clicking through the steps I provided above. If it's located on your Cloud Save Storage on your 360, you
will need to remove it from there as well.

NO. I deleted all save data for GOW2 on 360 and One. 360 game tries to load but after 5 to 10 seconds, I get black screen. I have to turn 360 off because it's locked up.

Hey DashingCat717,

Are you able to sign into a different Xbox Live profile to try Gears of War 2 with? If there's a different profile on your Xbox already, or if you create a new free account to test with, that will help us a bunch! As long as DashingCat717 is signed in while
you try a different account, you will be able to launch any digital game that is tied with the 'DashingCat717' account.

Wrong answer! I have tried so many things. I deleted ALL saved data both both machines including my profiles. I first tried to reload profile on 360 and play game but 360 freezes. I have to reboot machine. On One, I tried your suggestion on another profile
load game and me join but I still get noise and game shuts down. At one point last night I was able to play game but game said disconnected from xbox live and name profile didn't show up on playing game, it showed no profile playing game.

Which version of the game are you playing, digital or disc based? If disc, what is the condition of the game? From the statements you've said, it sounds like the consoles cannot read the game properly.

I'm playing games from hard dive. Problem is any other profiles can play game on either console, I can't.

Hi there

If this is 360 cloud storage you have a 2GB save limit and you will have to delete some saves to free up space.

If it's xbox one cloud storage then I'm not to sure to my knowledge there is no save limit on xbox one cloud storage but I could be wrong

Cloud is an online storage that can be accessed using Xbox Live Gold for Xbox 360 consoles and Internet connection if Xbox One. Basically, if you have cloud, your game saves get stored to your console's local storage and the cloud. Let's say for example
you performed a factory defaults for your Xbox One or format of hard drive for your Xbox 360, your save games from the local storages would get deleted but since you have cloud storage, your save games can be retrieved. This is why cloud can be considered
as your back up.

If you read the xbox support faq page the info is all there:

"Cloud saves let you play games on multiple consoles from where you left off. If you have more than one Xbox One console, or if you want to play games at a friend's house, you can store your saved games on Xbox Live servers in the cloud"

and

"On Xbox One, each game is provided storage. As a user's game library grows, so does their cloud storage, and an Xbox Live Gold subscription isn’t required. This gives Xbox One users unlimited cloud storage based on their library size"

To recap Cloud saves is storage for game saves and the space you got is based on the game you got.
