    This is quite specific so I'll be amazed if anyone can help out.

    The BC game in question is Gears of War 3. This is going to sound like a cut and dry progress reset issue at first, but there's a little more to this. I've had problems just getting past the start screen over the last few months. More often than not, it
    will say "LOADING PROFILE" in the bottom right hand corner for a stupidly long time and if I let that play out it then it'll finally load me in but I'll be level 1 with all my progress and data completely reset. This game is notorious for people being reset,
    but on those occasions I've been able to close the game down immediately and load it back up with my progress intact. The trick is to give the game a little time to load your cloud save in the background before you hit start, then it'll say "loading profile"
    for barely a second and that's how you know the cloud save has been recognised.

    So short version, if it says "loading profile" for more than a second then it hasn't loaded your cloud save and it's just going to push you through to a fresh save (which will only be a reset if you then do something to trigger saving data, like playing
    a match).

    Here's the problem: I tried many many times today to get past that start screen, gave it all the time in the world, and time and time again it hit me with the long "loading profile" problem. I figured it was just having a bad day, but then it did something
    new. It pushed me straight through the "loading profile" bit, but at level 1 with all my progress reset. Almost reset that is, it popped up with a few rewards which only make sense if you've made progress in the game. So naturally I shut the game down immediately
    in the hopes it wouldn't save. A few more attempts at getting into the game and I was back to getting the long "loading profile" again, but then on one attempt it pushed me through again with my progress wiped. I've tried it a bunch more times and about 80%
    of the time it's the "loading profile" issue and the other 20% it puts me into a fresh save with a bunch of rewards for playing, which tells me that if I am being reset, it's happening multiple times in a short space of time.

    There's been some talk this past week about server issues for the game, but I've managed to get some other accounts to load cloud saves just fine. And it just doesn't make sense for a cloud save to cannibalise itself. I've never had it try and fail to load
    the profile as much as this, it usually takes 3 attempts at most.

    So I'm at a loss. I can't tell if I've been reset (if I have, I don't understand what on earth could have caused it, I was playing without issue earlier today and did nothing out of the ordinary) or if there's a problem with this cloud save. I didn't know
    there could even be problems with cloud saves. But it refused to load for the longest time and then I was dumped into something that definitely wasn't my cloud save.

    And I tried getting support from the devs. They don't offer support for the game anymore, despite having a dedicated option for these games on their support page.

    Any insight would be much appreciated.

    With backwards compatible games, you can only save the data to cloud.

    Currently it is only possible to use the cloud for backwards compatible game saves.

    You need to save to the cloud on your Xbox 360 to have access to backwards compatible game saves.

    So digital copies you own on your 360 will pop up in the que on your XBOX ONE! 360 hard discs you own that are backward compatible, you can pop them right in the one and they will down load to your ONE! Keep in mind games on your 360 that are backward
    compatible and bc hard discs, you want to make sure the save data is on the cloud for those games. If not copy save data to the cloud, so you can continue those games on your one!
