    Cloud Save Data


    I recently had my 40+ hour Forza Horizon 3 save corrupted. After looking everywhere for a solution it was determined the only option was to delete the save from my pc, xbox and cloud.

    I deleted all my saves and started a new campaign on my PC, getting around 6% through the campaign.

    I decided I wanted to continue playing on the Xbox, however it doesn't seem to download my PC save from the cloud. Every time I log in to the game on Xbox it automatically starts a new game, overwrites any cloud save and I'm forced to delete them all and
    reload the PC local save.

    I've been looking everywhere for a fix but the only conclusion I've come to is the cloud save system/windows store is garbage.

    Any suggestions?

    You CAN actually delete your save game data locally on your xbox and leave it in the cloud. Go to your games/apps section in dashboard and go to the game in question. There are options to delete the local save game data and save game data in the cloud. You
    can delete local data or delete local and cloud data.

    Is there any way you could manually move the save to the Xbox? With a flash drive maybe?

    Save data for the Xbox One is actually saved on both the harddrive and the cloud, if you move all your content to an external drive it should be moved to that drive as well but the cloud data stays where it is.

    If however you should lose your local save data, the next time you boot up the game it will ask you to upload local data or download your save from the cloud. When you click download you will have a copy as local data again as well as cloud based.

    No, redownloading the games will not affect his save data, the save data is saved to the cloud, and is not deleted.

    Thank you for keeping up with us. The option to clear local saved data removes saved data from the console itself. As long as the console has a connection to Xbox Live, saved games are automatically stored in the cloud. If you have any games that you have
    played while offline, we recommend going online with those games to upload the saved data to the cloud. Once all you saved data is secured on the cloud, we suggest clearing the local saved games. Sometimes an account may have trouble with collecting the saved
    data from the cloud. This is where clearing local saved games can help. The option to clear local saved games will re-sync the saved data from the cloud to your account. We hope this helps!
