    Cloud Gaming saves (browser based gamepass)


    Recently got gamepass and wanted to try out fable 2 since I've never had access to an Xbox before. I booted up the game late at night and it looked great. Played for about 20 minutes and went to sleep. The next day when I logged in to the game it said it couldn't recover my save files. I thought, "Fine, I only played 20 minutes, let's try again." and played for about 3.5 hours. Logged out, did some stuff around the house, and came back to farm some gold. When I logged back in, it was my first 20 minute save again? note: I never closed chrome fully. I had other tabs open, but I did close the xbox cloud gaming tab.

    what is going on here? Why wouldn't it take the lastest save? I'm afraid now if I keep playing this one, the next time I log in it'll keep switching back and forth between saves making me repeat all content twice. It seems like a fun game but I sure as heck don't want to do everything twice.

    Any ideas as to what's going on here?

    Hello Georges,
    according to Windows update, I'm fully up to date, even in optional updates.

    Windows 10 Pro Version 21H2 Os Build 19044.1586 Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4170.0

    I tried a couple of browsers and it just keeps loading the old save. I've started progressing on that one and done a few tests and it keeps bringing that one up, with progression. I'll test again in the morning.

    Hello again, this is really weird, try to check if it only happens with this particular game, or with all xcloud games.

    Updates often seen as optional, Microsoft released major fixes this week, and make sure you have the Xbox Companion App installed.

    If you haven't updated yet, click the link below, update and then make all subsequent security updates.

    Also make sure all Xbox Apps are up to date in the store, after that, try playing through the Xbox App to see if it saves properly, and also try another browser like Opera GX.

    Hello qasimakhtar, as I mentioned to Georges, my windows is fully up to date, even optional. I have all the xbox apps installed and updated as well.

    I've been playing the game in google chrome but have also tried Microsoft edge.

    I'll do more testing tomorrow.
