    Hi,

I've purchased a cable to plug my series s into the router so I can play xcloud.

My download speed is 28mbps and upload is 18mbps... However my lag is just so bad it's unplayable!

How can this be the case, what kind of internet speed do you need?

    Things to reduce lag.

    .

    Faster Internet

    .

Play wired, both controller and Ethernet into the back of the xbox. Playing with the cable that came with your controller or the plug and charge kit will give you better performance in the lag department.

    .

Play on a gaming monitor with low input lag and delay. Playing on a TV of any kind will delay you a short bit which may be long enough to be frustrating.

    .

Don't play with friends across the country. Local players are ok, states or countries away will drag you down.

    .

And make sure your NAT is open. Ensure your router is designed for the higher speeds and have an updated Modem.

    .

    Good luck

Also, to get better internet speeds. Ask your company to come out and check the connections on the lines into your home. An improperly installed cable will slow down you internet connection quicker than anything else.

    Power supply ?

So then its okay to plug xboxone to a powerbar. I have my TV , cable box, modem, router, and the Xbox. I still don't see how it can cause lag when playing online when pluged in a powerbar

    Lag!!!!!

May i ask what game is causing the lag?

Also i suggest plugging your Xbox into your router via Ethernet cable. if it continues to lag, you may have a scratched disk.

Please help, Absolutely No Idea What the Problem Is!

Sorry I had work. Okay I just moved my xbox and screen and plugged it straight into the router via ethernet cable and to my surprise it works absolutely perfectly. There is absolutely no lag and I could connect to every game perfectly. However, the router
is in a very inconvenient location for my xbox to be moved there permanently, and there aren't any ethernet cables long enough to reach where my xbox usually is, so solving the wireless networking problems is still the goal. I hope this new information helps,
it seems it must be a problem with my white wireless adapter?
